'Prince Old Skool Jams'

Dunno if this has been mentioned before, but Prince's 'sampled' medley section (the worst part of the live show for many) is officially described simply as Old Skool Prince Jams on the actual setlist. Other medley-esque offerings (Diamonds & Pearls comes to mind from last night) were named in full. Odd to call them 'jams' when they're played to a backing tape - medley karaoke. But at least he knows he aint kidding anyone (even if he karoake'd about half of When Doves Cry last night). The setlist didn't include the final encore of Nothing Compares 2 U.

I wouldn't go as far as to call it karaoke! I quite enjoyed it, the samples are pretty damn good, and he does 'mix them up' a bit. He was teasing the audience a bit the first time I saw it, the next, last Friday, he played Sign of the Times and When Doves Cry almost completely.

Yeah, nice one Prince!
