Does Prince choose the support?

Cos I can't belive he would have endorsed that shower M.I.A that were on tonight - they were awful and were not only unnecessarily loud but also after 3 tracks really boring. Prince can't seriously have heard them before - would have been preferable to have listened to guys tuning up!

They were awful - the crowd started booing at one point. I did give them applause though cos even though it's not my cup of tea, I wouldn't boo them.

glad i am not the only one that thought they were crap, my brother also said he cant believe that Prince picks such acts, as for booing, well, i wouldnt go that far, but i was very happy when they left the stage
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Yes that is the same M.I.A. I can understand that she may not necessarily be everyone's cup of tea - and the venue itself was not at all appropriate for her music - but I thought the booing was despicable. If you do not like an act just don't clap...no need to resort to childish antics of booing.

Her metacritic rating is 87 http://www.metacritic.com...ala?q=kala so someone must like her!

aww what a shame, only if folks knew about her background and her state of mind..she is a cool individual!

Im sure MIA was called upon to showcase the alternative sound and new style of todays genre!

The booing was bang out of order - but I agree that they didnt work for a venue that size and they got a bad mix too - way too much bass ! - They gave it a good go but not my cuppa !

Yeah, they weren't brilliant. We left for a bit and then went back in when they were done.

I was really looking forward to seeing her after hearing her stuff on her web site, but the sound really did her no favours at all, which was a shame. I'm sure that she would be great in a (much) smaller venue. The Booing was bang out of order though.
Touches of Lovesexy '88 in her look I thought!
