Big thanks for the updates!
Controversy is so much fun live - I was lucky enough to experience it twice on the 10th Aug, once in the main show and then again for the aftershow, I couldn't believe my luck! "Put a glide in your stride and a dip in your hip,

Encore 2: while still below the stage (!) he goes, "London, during these 21 nights we're here, u have been so kind 2 us... (bit i didn't catch)... I want 2 dedicate this next 1 2 u!" then launches Nothing Compares 2 u (THEN Y OH Y R THESE SHOWS SO SHORT??) show finishes 10.50pm. Best show ever, explosive! Man, all my favourites were there (expect Shhh and something from the new album, anything! The new album rocks! WHERE IS CHELSEA ROGERS??) I lost battery power and this page at some point, sorry for long gaps, here's the entire playlist:
P came on at 9.10 and opened with Let's Go Crazy 1999 Take me with u 7 Come Together - YESSS the entire arena united in signing "Come Together - Yeah" with the lights on stage off!!! Cream U got the look Musicology, he's dancing real hot. Extensive intro to the band, solo Cora + husband, then "this is a trombone" followed by solo, "and this is a trumpet, a real trumpet!" - solo, then some more dancing, now he's doing the Stomp! Now playing parts of the audience off against each other, "fuuuunky London!", "u ain't ready 4 me - they ain't ready Shelby" with Shelby pointing out a section, "no no, the R ready over here!" Then one half or arena keeps going Funky London with other side of arena singing woh oooh oh! Classic stuff. Interlude. Piano recital: Diamonds and Pearls The Beautiful Ones Little Red Corvette Raspberry Beret with Band: Lolita - oh man all my favourites 2nite! In the middle everything stops, everything goes dark, only a spotlight on his face. He strokes an imaginary beard, seems unsure if we want 2 hear more... the crowd goes ballistic, he grins and starts back up. What a tease! Black Sweat Girls and Boys Kiss on synthesiser (no band for parts i think?): bit of Sign o the Times, the crowd are going totally wild!!! bit of Alphabet St When Doves Cry I wanna b ur lover no no the band IS there - or back Purple Rain and he's off Encore 1: I feel 4 U Controversy - that must be the funkiest version ever! Thanks 4 ur "thank us", that's cool, y'all! I'm getting quite used to multi-tasking during the shows now! The crowd were ace tonight. Made big difference. Of course my side was funkier but all 23k of u did good by me 2nite! I may be halluciating but i think when the stage is completely dark and he's underneath and there's a light on down there, u can see him below the stage?!?! I thought i saw him after Encore 2 , standing there, seemed to think about coming back on - kinda waiting. The crowd was very much cheering 4 more but there was also a mass exodus already - maybe because of that, he then turn away and left. Has anyone else seen him below the stage or am i just imagining this?? Yeah I was there too and M.I.A. was/were totally cr*p - and its rare that I'll dish that out to an artist but serioulsy it was cringe worthy.

Girls and Boys wasn't played tonight - not sure where you got that from? Great update; you really nailed the Musicology breakdown. Was the best Musicology jam of the tour so far. Dont know how you managed to be so detailed and still enjoy it!

Tonight's show was great - I can't believe he sang so much of When Doves Cry! The opening of the show was explosive, just full of energy for about the first 5 songs. I think Black Sweat, Cream, Controversy and Musicology are definitely my favourite parts of the shows I've been to. I can't wait for Friday!

brilliant show 2nite, ripping form, just down we could not go to aftershow, as i reckon he will burn the place down, in the form he was in 2nite If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Mya on the othyer hand is established..late 90's rnb solo act.. It was definitely M.I.A - they spelled it out for us. Yes, a bit dodgy at the beginning - they were very nervous I thnk, but got better as they go into it.
