Live updates 28/08 Is anyone planning to do a couple of live updates 2nite? if a few of could us post here/text a mate once or twice during this show we could distribute the load/minimise the distraction this causes but people who can't be there can still kinda feel they know what's happening... "John Bream, why you being fire-hydrant-head-looking..., you big seven eyed, Grover-from-Sesame-Street-looking… why you being dot dot dot?"

At gone 7pm the support band was still doing its sound check tonight! Only people seated in the boxes allowed in as far as I could tell. Just got a squirt from the 3121 perfume from the merchandise stall (not really that nice - too sweet for my taste). Also, I'm wondering what to do with all the free CDs I'm getting each night? I haven't been to a Prince concert since 1987 (yap, that's 1987) and am only now catching up with many of his albums (that's why I'm so bad with the set list!). I find that quite a few of his albums have kept their value and are still quite expensive and/or difficult to get hold of. As this is a free Cd I don't expect that will be true for Planet Earth, though, will it? I'm in Bk 110 tonight, great view. Ok, enough rambling. Any sign on who the support is? Looking forward to the updates as I can't make it to another show until 9/9!

Yes, that was MIA as support. They were actually quite good in a weird way, just don't think that this is their audience - or their venue. They said themselves they usually play clubs. Not sure how much they did towards "warming up" the audience - they were audible boos. Mya - female RnB artist No, it this M.I.A. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.I.A. She has an album out currently that is selling well. "What did the five fingers say to the face?" SLAP!! -- Rick James, habitual line-stepper.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys, I love sharing (just need to know someone wants 2 know, then it's definitely worth the hassle - otherwise I feel a bit of a twat)!
10th show, weekday - despite everything arena completely full again. U got 2 hand it 2 the man. Good crowd tonight by the looks of it, loads of Mexican waves... but a very late start of the show! P came on at 9.10 and opened with Let's Go Crazy 1999 Take me with u (Darn, my battery is low, but I'll keep posting til i run out of juice!) U got the look Musicology, he's dancing real hot. Extensive intro to theband, solo Cora+husband, then "this is a trombone" followed by solo, "and this is a trumpet, a real trumpet!" - solo, then some more dancing, now he's doing the Stomp! Now playing parts of the audience off against each other, "funkey London!", "u ain't ready 4 me - they ain't ready Shelby" with Shelby poitning out a section, "no no, the R ready over here!" Then some people keep going Funky London with other side of arena singing oh oooh oh! Classic stuff. Interlude. Piano recital Diamonds and Pearls what's the one that starts Baby baby baby what's it gonna be? Little Red corvette Raspberry Beret Band: Lolita - oh man all my favourites 2nite!
