[Edited 8/28/07 1:10am] None for me. Music be the food of love. I did the starvation thing on Sunday - didn't eat after lunch as too nervous etc. And certainly paid for it... was really seriously wondering if could make it to end of aftershow. I bought some chips but they were seriously AWFUL and about 20000 degrees so burnt my bloody mouth! Do what some chap did on Sunday - take a packed lunch with you. he was eating SANDWICHES on the dancefloor in the middle of the aftershow! If anybody asks you, I belong to Prince....

You've got to eat girls and boyz! U need your energy for the long funky nite ahead of u! I have half eaten my food and rushed out the door, and I live 10mins away, so you'd think I'd plan better...I have the time! But when it comes to Prince, the organiser becomes the disorganised. I care more about what I'm gonna wear. I've eaten at Wasabi at the O2, love my sushi. And good for my waistline too! Also if you eat lots of carbs, you can dance it off with Prince. for the 21st, seeing as this the most important nite for all of us, plan your day, eat your five fruit and veg, drink lots of water, hell....snack if want to! Lay out your outfit on the bed, Play some Prince tunes (preferably Old skool) and dance as you get ready, and eat your last morsel of food, then head out the house, fed well, dancing, and skipping to the O2 `U need 2 find a love that's gonna last'

[Edited 8/28/07 1:10am] You might find this info gleaned from the internet useful:- How Many Calories Should I Eat a Day? 1) Calculate your BMR This is your base number of calories a day you burn just by being alive and doing activities like breathing. Women: BMR = 655 + (4.35 x weight in pounds) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years) Men: BMR = 66 + (6.23 x weight in pounds) + (12.7 x height in inches) - (6.8 x age in years) 2) Calculate your Activity Using the Harris-Benedict Equation, you can calculate how many additional calories you need for daily activities. If you are sedentary (sitting still at Prince concert - lazy arse) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.2 If you are lightly active (standing at Prince concert - better ) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.375 If you are moderatetely active (jigging at Prince concert - improving) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.55 If you are very active (jumping and jigging at Prince concert - excellent effort) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.725 If you are extra active (in a mosh pit at a Prince concert - is there such a thing?!!) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.9 [Edited 9/11/07 13:55pm]

Hi PE, my advice would be to take a carton of Pringles. They're not too filling but can be taken during the slower numbers to keep your energy up high.
My advice to you for days after the gig is to start drinking heavily!!! I gotta Phd in advanced body movement.....

You know, for some people, this is a pretty valid question.
At the show last Thursday I saw a guy trying to take in a 2-litre bottle of Coke. Nice planning there... wtf do people think they're going to, a concert or a picnic in the park? If what you can consume is the only thing on your mind, you're in the wrong place...

[Edited 8/28/07 1:10am] Keep some Capt Crunch in your black box, just in case you get hungry on the way to the stage

I would have a light snack, PlanetEarth. You don't want to do a show on a full stomach do you? You need to concentrate on wowing the audience.

[Edited 8/28/07 1:10am] Keep some Capt Crunch in your black box, just in case you get hungry on the way to the stage HAHA! I like it, very subtle. Personally, I don't eat much on concert days. Keeps me light & agile. & I drink lots of tap water. Which makes it a very cost efective night out & my energy levels maximised & toilet trips minimised. I haven't taken a break during any of the shows or aftershows so far, even when I have needed 2. I just cannot miss a precious second of it!

1)Grapes are great for energy, I'd recommend a shot or two of WHEAT GRASS (I mix it in tomato juice) -- wheat grass is like caffeine without the edginess and it works for hours.
2)Don't take anything with dairy, thats causes phlegm which will make your singing a bit thick. You will be singing along to 'Guitar' right? Also, have you been practicing 'Play That Funky Music' -- because what if you get tapped to sing it? Gotta know the words or be a keen improvisor. 3)If you bychance get onstage, take the time to sit down and do some stretching. It does not make the bodyguards nervous at all to have someone onstage doing yoga. Once you are completely stretched, then feel free to get down. 4)also, have a few power bars in your pockets, you never know when hunger will hit. I prefer Luna bars. Love wins. [Edited 8/28/07 1:10am] This may be an option Easter said: Not sure it counts as 'funny story' but strangest thing I've seen at concert so far (mentioned this on other post somewhere) at the MOST INCREDIBLE AFTERSHOW on 9th - a guy got out some sandwiches and ate them ON the dancefloor - while Prince was playing. What is that about???? I'm not sure my digestive functions work properly because the rest of my body shuts down so I can sing, groove and generally go mental - talking to me during a show has proven to be a complete waste of time (brain not engaged at all). Who else is packing a PACKED LUNCH??? If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

[Edited 8/28/07 1:10am] not much if you are high and get vertigo and then have to get on a boat and taxi after having danced all night and had a few glasses This may be an option Easter said: Not sure it counts as 'funny story' but strangest thing I've seen at concert so far (mentioned this on other post somewhere) at the MOST INCREDIBLE AFTERSHOW on 9th - a guy got out some sandwiches and ate them ON the dancefloor - while Prince was playing.
