24th Aftershow (Set List) 3121
Girls & Boys Partyman Peach Controversy A Love Bizarre What Have You Done For Me Lately Tell Me Something Good I Never Loved A Man Baby Love Mother's Finest Black Sweat A great set and Prince was enjoying himself so much last night. His bass playing was second to none. Certainly made up for the short main show. Another classic aftershow experience. [Edited 8/25/07 4:05am] I'm hot and I don't care who knows it...I got a job to do.

What a night to pick for my first aftershow of this run! Thanks a million and a half to Blacksweat for making it possible. Dude - you rule!
Man, his guitar playing last night was out of this world - especially on Peach which was just jaw-droppingly effortless and then to hear him do Controversy *again* but in a club environment like that with EVERYONE jumping and going crazy - makes you realise just what these shows could be like! Again, super lucky for me - managed to fill in most of the songs he's done at other shows that I've missed - A Love Bizarre, the Sexy Dancer mash, Partyman etc... We also managed to walk in to the venue literally two minutes before Prince walked on stage - how lucky was that?! Fantastic night after another fantastic main show (the first without Let's Go Crazy?) - I'm almost deaf in my right ear though thanks, pretty much, purely to Prince's bass playing at the after show! Haha. Bring it on tonight! Tell him u live on a lilypad with a horny toad

Partyman ... a song made for the afershow, I feel.
It really gives me a buzz when this comes on. A rare gem on the Batman album. I'd go loopy if he did Scandalous though! Also, 'What Have You Done For Me Lately' - he did the whole, "who wrote this?" thing again... Did he? I thought it was Jam & Lewis. "What did the five fingers say to the face?" SLAP!! -- Rick James, habitual line-stepper.

Hey - we are missing a few songs from the aftershow on Friday here guys - he finished with Le Freak (Chic) and a George Clinton/P-Funk Track - was it One Nation under a Groove? My head was jelly by that point
He or rather the NPG also did A Night In Tunisia mid-way thru the set - that was the long instrumental jazzy track where Mike Philly, Lee Hogans and Renato played awesome solos - and the took it thru jazz, funk, latin grooves. The original dates way back to the 40s/50s with Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie and is killer - but Chaka Khan also did an awesome version of it with vocals - and samples of Bird and Dizzy (cos no-one else ever played it as well as they did)- well worth tracking down Am racking my brain to remember any other cover tracks he did in whole or part....c'mon guys n gals who were there !

It was One Nation Under A Groove, but they have chanted that through various songs. The show also ended with a reprise of 3121. I didn't write the list down, so I may have missed something else...wait a minute...did he play a few chords from Let's Work? I'm hot and I don't care who knows it...I got a job to do.

Yeah, he defo did Le Freak as I'd not heard him do that before.
I remember Mr Sweat getting all excited at the prospect of Chelsea Rodgers starting... nevermind... I'm sure he's finally gonna whip that one out one night. Tell him u live on a lilypad with a horny toad

Had a ball at the 24th/25th O2 shows but the 24th aftershow was surely the icing on the cake. With being a P fan since maybe 78/9 & feeling like 1 off the oldest swingers in town i was rite up at the front off stage giving Prince & Co all i got in appreciation!!!
Was funny when P finished his amazing session he set his guitar on top off us in front & stepped 2 the side watching us all mauling & man handeling it as the guitar tech rushed out trailing it from our grasp Wot a nite Wot a Guy Ty Prince for such a memorable weekend !!! PJ
