After the Aftershow

I'm staying at Excel on the 9th September and wanted an idea what was best - book a taxi to pick me and my mate up from the O2 or get clipper back?

Everyone seems to have different opinions... eek

Hello,

I stayed in the Custom House Hotel across the road from the Excel. The clipper goes in the other direction.

Best bet is a taxi. We got one from the lady at the front door. It was £25. A lot for a short journey.

We left the aftershow before a lot of people and most didn't even go in so you may have a bit more of a wait for a taxi.

Our hotel gave us a number but didn't book one as he said they would charge doubel for the hotel booking? Don't know why though.

Hope that helps

Yeah, they said that the taxi would charge from the hotel to the o2 and then back as the booking was made from the hotel. Sounds like a scam to me.

Also got a number for taxi firm Adison lee - 02073878888

Good luck

At the front entrance at the left hand side, on departure there is a little stand u can go 2 and book a local taxi, theyl book it in, tell u how much its gonna cost upfront, take the money from u and walk u 2 the taxi when it comes, have done it twice now but one night i wanted one 2 victoria and they told me they coulnt get one for me.

Using the taxi stand just inside the main entrance is working well - I did it twice this weekend. But find someone to share it with! Fixed prices, but cheaper than the ordinary ugly black cabs they said. Friday night we got a poor Ford with a driver who definately didn't know the art of driving - and he was even eating, drinking and speaking in his cellular at the same time.. Saturday night we got a huge Mercedes and a driver who knew how to drive. £44 to Piccadilly by the way..
