I have complained. No response other than a "this email has been fowarded to the head of hospitality" and a time frame of about ten more days which i had to call for.
I Have taken it up with Aeg, and if i hear nothing will chase ticketmaster who i have informed as well. If the matter is then not resolved to my satisfaction, I will be going to small claims. The delay seems to be that there are quite a lot of unhappy campers. Has anyone got a refund for their "vip" experience yet or are we all still waiting? [Edited 8/18/07 10:19am]

I've complained, phoned and sent a letter to AEG Live and Ticketmaster, got a letter back from ticketmaster saying they were investigating my complaint.
I had 2 reasons to complain, I had VIP on 11/08/07 and was sat in E1 towards the back of the stage behind the keyboards, had an ok view as i moved down towards the front of the stage a few seats as there was some room around me, but they certainly were not the 'very best seats' as advertised, I've also questioned the lack of pre-show entertainment as advertised, I was lucky with seats compared to some, lots of other VIP'ers were right behind the stage in F blocks, so must have had a really bad view. I think the whole VIP experience was a lottery on seats, which it should never have been, AEG/Ticketmaster should have just sold the first 10 rows of B1/2 D1/2 for VIP when you booked, like on normal seats, why wait to allocate seats at the last minute? just sell the best seats first come first served, who makes the effort to buy straight away is rewarded with choice of best seats, when they were gone, all VIP was gone, there were people in the rows in front of me in E1 who paid £31.21, good luck to them, I don't begrudge them, but VIP should have been given best seats available as advertised, I will never buy tickets again without being allocated row/seat number when paying. I figure if you don't complain about this treatment, they will just keep doing it while they can get away with it, so I'd advise everyone to complain who didn't get what they paid for. I also had tickets for the aftershow which never happened on the 11th, so I'm asking for a refund on that one, only heard of exchanges so far, but live in Manchester so can't make it to the O2 again. If they don't refund I will take them to small claims court, as they never delivered on their contract for an aftershow party as the entertainment was cancelled at the last minute (by admission of the Indigo staff), I've also complained about the way the Indigo was handled, the atmosphere went bad when it got cancelled and the security were getting abit worked up with people, so it could have turned nasty. Ticketmaster are pretty much saying its for AEG Live to deal with, i'm surprised as I paid ticketmaster for my ticket, not AEG Live, so ticketmaster have a duty of care. Let me know if you get any feedback, In think if we tackle this as a group, there's more chance of action from AEG.. [Edited 8/18/07 10:36am]

yeah
i ask it because. i got a insurance 4 it and i cald them and they told me the orginiser is resposible 4 it. thats aeg. they also told me not to e-mail becouse some reasons but so send a letter (dont know the englisch word) that the have to sign when they get it. when they don rsponse within 2 weeks you can make it a case. so we have to ask 4 a solusion when they dont responce i call my lawer and he told me he thinks we have a good change of winning it. he made a file of it and when they dont react. then i will say to aeg "your butt is mine" and maybe i do a litlle moonwalk [Edited 8/18/07 11:39am] [Edited 8/18/07 11:40am]

I too have written a fairly polite but threatening e-mail to the Joe Mead guy at AEG regarding the £50 bottles of Stella being by VIP experience.
Needless to say after the first appologetic response to my ticket exchange request for 11th August aftershow, I've been totally blanked. I think the only way to get a decent response would be to add some weight by joining forces and maybe finding a lawyer orger. My qualm is that I was expecting 'entertainment' as part of my VIP ticket, which in the end consisted of listening to a CD. As far as I'm concerned I was given misleading information as to what I was getting for my money, which is against the trades description act. The fact that there was to be entertainment was also omitted from the letter I recieved with my tickets. Funny that! Any lawyers in here????

I hate to complain but they couldn't find my ticket there and I waited a lot, they gave me a duplicate ticket and a lady at the entrance actually asked me if I really paid for it !!! I didn't find the entrance, I didn't have any copy of the disk, and it was very uncomfortable. The food was very OK, but I was kinda frustrated when I heard the show was beginning and all we could see was a big black curtain. So I went down, again because of my duplicated tickets they looked at me like I was stealing something. I'm glad the seats were ok, and what I can say is that I am happy I didn't worry about where I'm sitting for 3 monthes, but I think VIP people deserve more than that. It's a lot of money, after all.
What about a small box with a 3121 miniature, a tamborine, something to come back home with ? I don't regret anything but they could have done something more "special". Fortunatly someone gave me his copy of Planet Earth, and Prince and the band, anyway, were fabulous and every moment there was amazing.

[Edited 8/18/07 10:36am] Hi, I completely agree with you and I'm one of the VIP victims as well. Had Block F2 on the 3rd of august, and couldn't see a thing from there.. VIP party was a joke, as no entertainment, scarce food, and 15 mins looking for my seats..I have sent letter, copy of purchase and pictures of the stage taken from my seat.. you can only see the Band, not the main artist. Awaiting response from Ticketmaster, will keep you informed. I had another pair of VIP tickets for the 10th of August(block D2) which I knew it would be better but I frankly didn't want the VIP experience again, so I contacted Ticketmaster few days before the event and explained the situation and they refund the money for those tickets ( 10th), but advised me to write a complaint re. the 3rd.Now I have lower tier tickets , which I've paid 31.21!! I strongly advise all the members affected by it to complaint, do it in writing ( letter better than email), and see what happens..Thanks.

I think we got their attention as now they are telling you the location of the VIP ticket at the time you buy, I don't understand why they didn't do this from the start ???
I've got no problem with how ticketmaster are selling VIP packages now, people know exactly what they are paying for when it tells you the block/row/seat number at the time of purchase, most VIP'ers were stung by leaving the allocation to AEG, which was unfairly done and lots of people ended up with rubbish tickets for £235 each. Whether they do anything for people who have already used their VIP tickets and had their night ruined, that is a different question, but the fact they've changed how VIP packages are sold must show there was a major flaw in the original process.
