CHAKA CONFIRMS HER SUPPORT ON 31ST & 1ST!! In the new issue of Blues & Soul magazine (just on sale here in the UK), Chaka Khan confirms in her interview that she is supporting Prince on 31st August & 1st September!!
Should be amazing, especially the aftershows!!! B&S: So bringing things forward, what are you up to these days? CK: I have a new album coming out in September. I’m starting a world-wide tour in mid-October and I have some UK dates with Prince on August 31 and September 1. Also, I’m running the Chaka Khan Foundation and we’ve just adopted a school in Watts (in Los Angeles)…and we’re introducing them to the world! This interview was probably done a while ago. If she was coming over to do those dates with P she would not have cancelled her gigs for the following week at the Jazz Cafe. I wouldn't go by what it says in an interview. Somebody in the know, please give us some facts! I would love her to come. | |

Good point prob the case... although maybe she cancelled Jazz Cafe as P has paid her to do more than 31st and 1st...(just a thought) | |

She was booked to perform at Jazz Cafe from 3-6 September. We bought tickets, but just after the rumours about her supporting P on 31 Aug/1 Sept she cancelled all the Jazz Cafe gigs. So far no concrete evidence that she will support P. | |
