London 3rd October - Orgasmic!

What can I say? I haven't read any reports of this tour, so I don't know if I'm fitting in with the concensus here, but this tour is truly orgasmic!

- Visually stunning (I LOVED that backdrop and the pix that were projected)

- Musically awesome - the range of songs he is able to produce from a seemingly bottomless pit is incredible (just how many songs HAS he written now?)

- Amazing charisma - so much sexual energy in the room, and it's all coming from one person.

After last night, I can forgive him anything. I'm not even gonna mention the negatives. This man is a true genius.

TRON

Wow Ras, I'm happy for you. I agree that this is the best he's ever sounded live. I thought I'd had my fill of Prince show already this year having seen 5 but I'm getting jealous of you Europeans. I can't wait to read all of the concert reports.

Absolutely no negatives on the night. Everything was perfect. OK, I got moved to a couple of rows further back because of what happened in the soundcheck (see other threads) but that wasn't any big deal as I went to the venue happy to sit anywhere in the first 15 rows.

The negatives I was referring to are things that have happened in the past, where I've been critical of Prince and his organisation at times. Last night put all of that into perspective. He's a great entertainer and songwriter and he's entitled to be whimsical and eccentric if he wants to be. When I see the results, I remember again that it's his eccentricities that have made him one of the true great artists of our times.

He was away from Europe for too long ... I had started to forget biggrin
