hey y'all quick metion that the show is ace...can't tell you the set list i didn't know half the songs!!! i'm sure someone will post very soon cos there were a lot of ppl takibg notes!!

highlight for me was prince performing a selection of songs centre stage with the piano...he did adore/beautiful ones/how coe you don't call me anymore/raspbeyy berret..to name a few AWESOME

a few of us did get a chance to boogy on the stage.

organisation of venue was crap and i'm proud to say that the club members stuck together and sorted it out with prince getting involved with the discussion...i do have a few enemies now but stuff them.

he only performed one song at the "sound check" cos of the hassle...he did Get wild

after party even funnier...but again without sounding too modest i saved the day by organising another club cos the mayfair club messed up!!

no aftershow performance as will be the case tomorrow too!

anyway gotta sleep now cos the merry go round repeats tomorrow

Well I think that tonight was superb.

I agree with you totally about the venue organisation and the fans sticking together, and the few enemies too. I thought I was going to get lynched at a couple of points. Just to iterate for any who may still be feeling blue, this is the ku.

I know there were some people dissapointed with the whole seat alocation mix up and understandably so. But just to clarify what actually happened incase you didn't get the low down. The whole thing was purely a communication error between the promoters and the apollo. Where they told the Apollo that there were tickets for the club members (purely meaning just the physical tickets we held) the Apollo being English and having a different understanding of the term ticketed show, thought it was on an allocation basis. It was never meant to be allocation and everyone involved apologised whole heartedly.

I know it must have sucked to see your ticket and think you were in row A or B but it was never meant to be that way. Apart from that little issue which really was no ones fault, Promoters, Apollos or Fans, the whole day went really smoothly and the cooperatation from everyone says alot about all of us as fans.

this is to the girls who told me to f"&* off when i tried to apologise to them...not nice!

i tried to be friendly to y'all and you accused me of messing the whole system up...like i organised the whole mutiny!!...not just I honey...there were aboyt 50 of us who tried to make it fair!!

This sounds highly suspicious to me, like the people who got in first expected to be able to sit where they wanted... and did. If you have been allocated seats and they are all in the first 15 rows there's no other reason not to sit in them!

the NPGMC told fans that the seating would be general admissino

the apollo have to allocate seats for fire safety reasons..this was only announced at around 4pm...by then ppl had queued for hours and a list had already be made.

what the venue should have done was to say that yes the first 15 rows are for club members and ignore seating allocation.

prince agreed with this and an announcement was made

why say one thing then do another...it was a communication problem which will not happen for the next twp nights.

yes it didn't seem fair to those who came late and found their first row seats gone...you can't expect to have the best of both worlds...everyone had always expected for it to be general admission in the first place and finding out that they actually had first row tix were obviousely very excited.

fans sohould understand this and not fight.

Didn't it bother you that we didn't see the soundcheck? We all stood outside the auditorium doors like twats while it was going on then let in ONCE IT HAD FINISHED! WHY??

prince was not even sound checking ...he only did a number for us cos we asked him

he was sitting at the back of the venue watching the techies and only came and talked to us to find out what was happnin.

we all waited in the foyer for ages thinking we were mising something

they were running late themselves

am i gonna get lynched now...i'm just telling you how it was.

i've just reread my review...and he did Days of Wild in the soundcheck not Get wild.

i was very tired last nite!!

On the allocation of seats, I can't understand why people were complaining. I ended up in around row 15 and still had a great view. Great show.

Did you see the people crowding the aisles?

That was ridiculous. They paid £30 for standing room only and then stood in front of members aisle seats.

Apart from that it was mind-blowing. But people need to learn how to behave.

The girl who was the best (by far!) from the dancing at the start was sitting directly in front of me, she was a great lady from chicago!

All in all I'm looking to the plus and it was a great night, just with a lot of unneeded stress!

I wont even go into the problems I had with my seat!

there was one girl dancing during all the critics... that was incredible! the asian girl on the right hand side of the stage. shes gotta be a pro-dancer. shed make a leotard only too happy, lol.

All of us in the few rows surrounding them kept telling them to be quiet, but they weren't. They were the only people there who annoyed me. I'm surprised nobody else has commented on it .. maybe you all didn't hear the noise but it was spoiling that part of the show for a lot of people, myself included.

Geez, get a grip! You should be enjoying the concerts.
