Someone said "Let's Go Crazy??" I haven't heard him actually perform this song since the Purple Rain days. From the 1987 TOUR on It's usually just been the first verse, and then a bunch of "let's Go" Chants mixed in with the old traditional song "Shave And A Haircut Two Bits" (Played by Johnny Carson's band in the Tonight show intro every night..) played on the guitar. He has consistently butchered this song no matter what tour it is. His guitar playing on it is usually great, but eliminating the lyrics makes no sense. At least most of his concerts the last few years have had structured songs, after being a medley act from 1996-2000. It just stinks that Let's Go Crazy hasn't really been played in over 22 years in its proper form.

I reckon Friday 24th's or Saturday 25th's version of 'Empty Room' will be my favourite. London, here I come - live from sexy Norway!

Controversy and Joy in Repitition on the 3rd were fantastic. And Musicology was brilliant too.

WTF? I was there August 4th and he opened with Lets go crazy, sounded proper to me. And he played the song through to the end.

I loved all the above, but I really dug the solo piano version of Strange Relationship - the way he sung was just like the piano rehearsal from '83, a whole 4 years before it appeared on SOTT

Opening the show on 14th with 1999 was right up there - an OMG moment given he hadnt played it on the tour up to then

1999 was the real shock, seeing as though he hasn't played it since, um 1999.

Out of the regular tunes he plays, it's gotta be Controversy - gets the whole O2 jumping!
And of the 'off the cuff' tunes, "The Beautiful Ones" on the 7th was pretty special.
