Is it possible to film the whole concert?

I really want to film the whole concert but I am afraid the security staff is going to stopp me. I'm just going to film it with my phone camera and I am not going to use the flash so it should not disturb Prince. I am going to sit in the lower tier. Do you think the security staff will leave me alone?

You should be fine - just take no note of the warnings constantly on show before he comes on about being ejected from the venue if caught. If someone shines a torch at you, smile back at them and wave, they're just being friendly.

If you have the light off surely the film will not be worth taking anyway? The staff ask you to put your phone away when you are just talking on it, so I really wouldn't bother with trying to film it as you'll get warnings and then be asked to leave - I saw them throw 2 people out on Saturday

the thing is...how will you be able to enjoy it if you're holding up your mobile phone all night!?

I spoke to security last week -- they have a 3 strikes and your out policy - so dont push your luck ! - plus you never know with security at these venues - the guy I spoke to was fairly reasonable but that may not count for all of them ?

It's also really annoying when you are staning next to people who keep switching their phones on etc as some security guy comes round with a green laser and points it all over the place. It really distracts me from the task at hand..

Put a little camera in your sleeve, then strike a posh spice point and pout all night. No one will know your pointing hand is secretly filming the whole show!

I would say its a bit risky, especially if you are near an aisle near the front. I had my camera with me and a 4GB memory card which can film 3 hours worth. I held it up for about 30secs of purple rain, so I just stuck it in my pocket. There was no way I would have been able to enjoy the show with the camera in my hand. So I danced the night away instead.

I've seen people get ejected from the aftershow for filming and seen many get warnings at the main show. But at the end of the day, you've paid your money, so take your chances, just don't expect to get away with it.

And if you do get away with it, don't forget to put it on youtube. wink

Good question but if you want to give a burly bouncer an excuse to pull the camera out of your hand, smash it on the floor and watch the look on your face with glee and then throw you out of the arena, go ahead.
Wait for the dvd and just enjoy the show !

Why are people so selfish? They've asked nicely that you don't do that, it's folks like you that make it hard for the ones who want to do the right thing :-

u should be alright, the only time u need 2 watch is when ure on the floor at an aisle seat or in the aftershow,

they wont kick you out unless the catch you doing it a fair few times, most of the staff seem to be fairly decent down there or dont speak english smile so it all works out for the better smile, so jsut give it a go and if some one warns you just say "okay cheers, wont happen again" or just put ure phone away as soon as they say anything and youll b fine!!

p.s. enjoy the show,

p.p.s do send me a copy razz

See that helicopter circling above your house? lol

Seriously though, Don't do it, just enjoy the show, it's really not worth it. The resulting recording won't be half as good as your memory of the show.

It should be no problem at all. Oh i mean the other one - NO CHANCE
you will get thrown out, its getting tighter and tighter in there. I was questioned by a bouncer for using my phone to text!

Plus it will ruin the experience for you. Wait for the DVD. Im sure there will be one just before christmas

There is no way you'll be able to film the whole thing unless you ahve one of those really small cameras - the security guys at the door won't take it off you but there are load so security on the floor and they will put you out - I tried to get a few photos and they told me if I did it again they would put me out - they were a bit scary. Its worth it to try and get a few clips but not the whole thing.
havu had u + today ? fookn rite !

The your one of those who would moan if the show was short OR he doesn't play an aftershow...they ask you not to record the show so why on earth are you wanting to film the whole thing? I get so pissed at seeing people with mobiles, they are the bain of society..can't they just enjoy the gig without texting or taking photos all night

confused

you wont get away with filming it the security are really tight at the moment

also it is really annoying being disturbed by the security trying to stop people filming etc it was part of the reason i didnt enjoy my last show as much as the others kinda annoying having a guy and one of the security arguing right in front of you about whether he should/shouldnt film purple rain whilst prince is playing mad

Why would that even cross your mind to film the concert if it will be recorded let the man do it him self just go and have a great time leave the filming to the camera man why take a chance even putting your self out like that it seems as if you have a hidden agenda before even going in the door because why else even post that . Not trying to tell you what to do but hey you posted that question so here is a common sense answer why get in trouble in another country you are lucky to even be there to see the show then to want and sneak a camera in to film the whole show then do what with the footage ? that is the real question what would you do with the film?
