Part time Prince fans

Been a P fan 4 as long as I can remember but only just joind this cool site. So Hello 2u all smile

Hate 2 start my 1st message negative but the part time fans at these concerts who keep moaning about what songs he didnt play r starting 2 fuck me off !!
If he was sum washed up singer livin on past glorys I cud understand but the guy is still makin brilliant and relevant music 2day. And in fairness does incliude more oldies than he needs 2.
But this is what u get when u play 2 the masses i guess.
There still a bunch of tossers tho !!!

And how many new songs did he play from his new album though? I'm a part time fan, only ever seen him twice. Love his new album, but surprised we didn't get more new material.

On Saturday night he played nothing from Planet Earth, which, apart from the late start, was the only thing that really surprised me.

Thankfully he seems to play "guitar" most of the shows which is fast becoming one of my favourites live.

Im surprised "Planet Earth" hasnt been played more (just once on the opening night) as that is a great track as well and has a lovely guitar element at the end.

Rest of the album is nice to listen to but not sure quite so suited for a live show.
the guitar is the best instrument in the world!

He's done Somewhere Here On Earth at a few shows and gives it a lovely vocal performance.

The one track that he hasn't played yet but is screaming out to be played live is, The One U Wanna C. I really want to hear that live.

No Guitar? The Take Me With U and Guitar segment of the show at the 7th August gig was my favourite part. Guitar is a brilliant song. Loved it from the moment I heard it on Radio 2.

Nope, no Guitar. I didn't mind too much though, as he played it at the other 3 shows I went to. biggrin

I know I'm in the minority here but that's by far the worst track on the album IMHO. boxed

I saw him do Guitar on 4th though so that was ok smile I love the first bit, 'normally round your waist like a chain' after seeing him at aftershow on Sat I wish he was! I'm addicted to Bill Withers 'Use Me' now but wish I had a copy of P singing it smile

Why does he act like 3121 is his new album on this tour?

I'd have been so happy if he ditched the 3121 trax (exept 3121 lol )
& played some planet earth..I mean Lolita & Black Sweat just sounded a hot mess..
...Your coochie gonna swell up and fall apart...

Prince has said in interviews before that his fans want to hear so much and there is no way he can do all his songs, he knows he can never satisfy everybody all the time but he does a hell of a job, doesn't he?! biggrin

not really in my opinion! he's hardly played any of his new record, which has been the closest thing he's had to a hit record in the UK for 10 years anyway! so firstly thats a bit strange? lolita and black sweat are very average songs IMO! and as for playing 30 second snippets of all his best songs, SOTT, When Doves Cry, Alphabet Street, etc, hes hould be strung up and flogged for that!!! he should just leave them well alone if he has no intention of playing them!

He has played bits of the songs, so I'm sure he's just building up to it.
