There used 2 be only 3 occasions people would dress like a freak. Halloween, Orgy & prince concert smile

Really disappointed that so many people are dressin 2 the O2 concerts like they're just going 2 the corner store 4 some milk & a loaf of bread.
I'm old school (when it comes 2 P), been to every UK concert P's done since 1988's Lovesexy..
whats happened 2 the freaky, funky way people used 2 dress 2 come C Prince.. Colour me Peach n black not grey n grey sad

P.s, I'm the buff dude in the Cowboy hat, will be there 2nite smile

Does it matter that much to you? How sad.

yep. cos it shows a lack of respect 4 the artist and fans who want 2 enjoy a glam atmosphere. also the boring dressers r always the boring farts who dont singalong, respond or dance. on the 7th a fuckin' idiot behind me asked me 2 sit down during kiss cos he n his gfriend were sittin ..i hate it when peeps dont make an effort except 2 not make an effort
Wake up children, dance the dance electric... there isn't much time.... who farted? whofarted ...was it u? disbelief

Oh, shut up razz

Like it or not, people enjoy concerts in different ways. I'm not getting glammed up out of some desperate hope that Prince will "notice me" and we'll become firm friends and go on camping holidays together. I'm dressing for comfort and practicality. People sweat a lot at concerts, stand for hours etc...

Hahaha!! That was the 'guests with bags' line as far as I remember wink . I'd recognise those sexy long shorts anywhere, the ultimate in geography-teacher chic!
Sounds like a real man to me...mind if I turn on the radio?

i like seeing the girls spend 5 hours getting dressed up and walking into the o2 looking like appolonia in short skirts and hi heels, and then almost dying in the line to the aftershow, so they take off the heels, and by the end of the aftershow they look like james browns arrest photograph and just like they are about to appear on CSI as a bodybag filler

most fans i met are in the o2 for almost a 12 hour stretch from 5pm for drinks and food, until the aftershow ends around 4am, plus getting out, and waiting for a taxi. the people who look the biggest victims at the end are the glammed up girls who wore heels. all i can say is no-one looks at your feet from the minute prince steps onstage at the main show, so you may as well swap into some comfy sneakers. if you want to show off, show the cleavage, as that will still look the same at the end, but your hair is going to be all over the place and dripping in sweat come the end of the aftershow, and the makeup is going to be running down your face like a clown thats had a bucket of water thrown at him

if you are only going to the main show, you may get away with glam and heels if you arrive and leave just before and after the show, but i see so many girls walking around barefoot as the heels kill em. they don't learn the lesson the next day, and the next day, but guaranteed by the following day you will see them wearing flat shoes

i used to wonder why some people at paisley park didn't get dressed up, but after seeing photos of myself leaving paisley, i realised they probably looked the same going in as out. you can wear jeans and t shirt and look reasonably presentable. it works for me, i'm confortable, and because of the t shirts i wear i get peopel coming up to me as they can spot a fan, especially with some of the rare shirts i have, and it's easy for friends to find me. at the aftershows when i'm down the front, no-one can see anything from chest height downwards, so it doesn't matter if i'm wearing jeans and sneakers. i suppose i don't think anyone could say i dresseed boring tho, as the t shirts do stand out a bit

and after so many shows, i might be tired, but my body hasn't been aching cuz i've been dancing during the wait for the aftershow

gotta look good and dress up i reckon! has to be something you can dance in and feel comfortable in and smart - i saw some great looking people who had made an effort on the 11th and 18th though got a bit of drunken abuse myself just because i was wearing a hat lol - this was worst in the aftershows when i was dancing like a loon as well and when people had too much drink on board
tbh i find it quite funny

Yeah Tony TNT is a legend! He was in a different outfit every night and did design them all. But the real question is how does he do the splits like that?

He made the Aftershow on the 11th! The only entertainment in the place!

Thanks Tony!!

You're not wrong....those pants were cool, I had to point him out to my boyf cos they were so cool!!!

I saw a couple of girls in the VIP bar before hand that I'd liked to have caught a glimpse of on the way out just to see if their outfits had actually held out for the entire show!!!!

One was tanned to the max and wearing a black backless tight cropped top with tiny black and red hotpants and long black over the knee socks with teeteringly high wedges on her feet.

The other....well I didn't even manage to get to what she was wearing on her feet cos my eyes only seemed to focus on her torso!!! Her bottom half was clad in teeny tiny hotpants, and the top...well it was a scarf!!! A silk scarf that had been strategically crossed over her breasts Christina Aguilera style! I hope she used some tit tape to keep it in place!

Both girls looked fab and I assume drawing attention was the point because you just couldn't not look at them. Very brave, but I do wonder if they managed to leave the venue looking as great and with all their minimal clothing still intact! lol

It has to be done - you have to put the effort in for Prince as far as I'm concerned!!!

It still hasn't sunk in that we're actually going to see him and then go to the aftershow party - we've waited for sooooo long! biggrin
