OOPS! Missed out "food"!!

beginning again...

I've bought VIP tickets for this fri for hub as surprise (D1 row C!) ... only thing is he is one very hungry man after work and am worried that the food offered at VIP pre-show might not be in huge amounts... seem to be varying reports? Please could someone let me know definitively ... otherwise we'll hit sushi before! Don't want his rumbles drowning out P! Tx confused

Plenty of eateries at the O2 and inside the arena itself.

I went VIP on the first night with 2 friends and was surprised that instead of being able to load up a plate with buffet food and eat your fill, we kind of had to spend the time chasing waiters for vol-au-vents and loading up our hands/wrists as much as we possibly could. By the end I had stopped politely taking one at a time, and just took as many as I could hold. Even though their trays got emptied in about 30seconds, think the waiters were sympathetic at how hungry everyone was.

Yes, if I'd have known I would definitely have eaten somewhere else first (even though you shouldn't have to for £235 each).
I actually lost a coupla pounds from eating so little and dancing non-stop for 2hours! Was a fantastic night though. (Here's to me managing to get final night tickets which also happens to be my 30th birthday!)

Have a great night on friday beano!

Well we got to entrance H at 6pm (the supposed VIP reception start time like it says on the letter that comes with your tickets) but had to wait in the queue with everyone else for at least half an hour while P apparently finished his soundcheck, so that shortened the reception time quite a bit neutral Hope you get your full time quota.
On the night we went there wasn't any music/entertainment at the reception either, don't know about other nights. Though you do get to sit up on that massive balcony and take in the amazing view of the arena as it fills up, which is pretty good. Guess we could have watched the support from up there, if there hadda been some the 1st night.
Actually from what I've read on these forums looks like the quality of the buffet food has improved since I went, so that's something.
Def allow plenty of time to enjoy food, drinks and atmosphere wherever else you go beforehand, as I'd still advise being in that queue for 6pm. Oh and def make sure you're seated in plenty of time cos we weren't seated by 8.15pm as advised and missed 1st few minutes of Purple Rain sad
You're right it's not worth all that £, but don't regret doing it. If you go planning to have the best night, i'm pretty sure you will! wink

It sounds like they must have changed the food available. We were VIP on the 10th and were each given two food vouchers each. Each food voucher was for one choice of meal at various food bars around the White Bar. I had pork stir fry that was cooked to order in front of me and was gorgeous. My friend had a chichen kebab which she said was lovely. We couldn't manage a further meal so still had a voucher each left at the end. We are VIP again on the 21st Sept and are hoping the food situation is the same then. biggrin

Contrary to what the tickets says, they don't stop you taking food in with you in your bag.
Every night (4 nights) I had sandwiches in my bag and just took the top off my water bottle and that was fine. So I suggest do that just in case.

I wasn't VIP though but I'm sure it's the same.

Bless! I have this image of some Prince fan, all doled up in their bestest Purple gear, sitting in the VIP lounge, unwrapping the tinfoil around their eggy sarnies, all the while slurping on their ribena! lol

Better to look like a twat than go hungry!

I'm sure I read that in the bible somewhere...
