Uh, I care. I don't like to be mislead, especially when it comes to my hard earned money. Homer Simpson: "I call the big one Bitey"!!

Probably nothing whatsoever, & yes I shall enjoy the gig. I just think that the promoters need to understand just how much they're getting peoples backs up & maybe, just maybe, have their consciences pricked (if indeed, they have one).

Just sent this. It'll get nowhere but there's no point banging on about it here and not telling them...
_____ Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to express my utmost discontent with the ticket release policy for the Prince at the O2 concerts in August and September. Seats for these concerts went on general sale in May. Most long-time Prince fans rushed to purchase tickets on the first day, and the show were quickly advertised and sold out. The tickets sold then were mostly in the upper tier or the back of the lower tier, with very limited number of floor and front lower tier seats released. Then every few weeks, more tickets were release, of increasing quality. This culminated today, July 31st, with the release of may seats in the first 4 rows of the lower tier, for the following week's concert. This practise is common: the best seats are reserved for corporate and VIP sales, and the unsold ones are released to the public a few days before the event. Nevertheless, in the unprecedented context of Prince's 21 dates, and combined with the various VIP, Gold Circle, and Auction schemes, the whole situation is now totally unacceptable. Many people have paid several hundred pounds for seats which were billed as the best available when they purchases them, only for equivalent or even better seats to be later released at the regular £32.21 price. Also many fans have been led to make multiple purchases for the same dates, as ever better seats were being released, and upgrades were not permitted by ticket agents such as TicketMaster. I would appreciate your comments on this situation, and especially how you plan to compensate those fans left with multiple tickets. Regards Daniel FADE

Here's mine too. I agree, maybe it will get us nowhere but it makes me feel better and if it serves only to prick their conscience, it's worth it.
Well said dfeq! We're giving them the same story at least. _____ I have been a Prince fan for over 20 years, and have a lot of friends who I have met through Prince. You can imagine our delight when we learnt that Prince was playing so many nights in London after a 4 year "drought" in Europe. We all rushed out to buy tickets as soon as they went on sale, most of us for several nights, and some also for VIP. To find today that I am able to go into ticketmaster and now buy better seats for almost every date I am going to is very disheartening (to put it mildly). The way the Prince concert tickets have been sold is appalling - you have been drip feeding tickets slowly since they went on sale. Some have frantically purchased from ticket touts on Ebay for good seats with a face value of only £31.21 (which is excellent value)for an extortionate cost of around £600 per ticket. There are a lot of angry and very out-of-pocket fans whose excitement and concert experiences are being dampened by the atrocious way in which we are being conned about tickets. As an acknowledgement that this could have been handled better, or at least as a gesture of goodwill, would it be possible to exchange tickets up to a certain quantity for those now improved available seats? Or at least give some guarantees that the VIP tickets will be worth the £235 paid (which means that someone sitting in front of you cannot rub your face in the fact that they only paid £31.21 for their seat). I realise that this price also covers VIP "extras" (although 3 drinks seems a little on the frugal side!), but it is obvious that people bought the VIP tickets in the hope of securing the best seats in the house for at least one concert. Incidentally, I don't know a single fan from either of the two fansites I use who is only going to one concert. The average is around 5 gigs. I look forward to hearing from you on the matter as soon as possible (given that the concerts start tomorrow evening). Thank you for your time.

Also, Done.
Really dissappointed with the way things have panned out. Prince and his team could have sorted this out by having a members only presale prior to tickets going on general sale, identifying clearly where the seats would be, i.e. first 10 rows of the stage or first 10 rows of lower tier for example. Job done - instead we have the farce that has VIP and front row auction prices sitting next to people who have only paid £31.21. I for one have learned a very valuable lesson from this ...

Dont get me wrong, everybody is entitled to an opinion and most of these letters are very well put together and polite...but surely if people bought more and more tickets then it's their own fault (especially if soem were £600).
Id be most miffed at 3121/npgmc for waiting until they knew everybody had tickets and then saying "oooh look what we've found...nice stage side tickets - anybody not got some 2 weeks before the gigs???" THATS bad policy especially straight from the horses mouth. Missed out on good seats during NPGMC years as they bungled my order and left me at the back of ONA and now it seems that stage side seats were a no no this year. But at the end of the day im going and £31.21 or not Im not going to buy loads of tickets for the same date especially as with the clamp down on ebay I might not be able to shift them

Really, you're not going to get anywhere with this. Ticketmaster isn't going to give you any prizes, or change its behaviour. They sold tickets and that's their job.
If you think you've been mis-sold, you need to get on to Trading Standards. It's their job to sort stuff like this out.

If you are dissatisfied with your tickets, of course send a complaint to AEG but it might be more effective to send a complaint to BBC's television programme 'Watchdog'. See also this thread for more information and

i also justr send a mail.
i feel abused by the o2 and prince. the vip tickets where not a vip experience. i didn't get a buffet and there was no entertainment or "complimentary drinks" nobody of the o2 knew where we had to go. the staff was verry bad informed. the "pre show party?" was like a funeral hall. no music or any entertainment like they promised.the "buffet" where only some snacks and we where supost to get a transfer to our seats. but we dint even get informed and we missed the support act. i considder to get a lawyer and get my money back minus the price for a ticket and a visit to mc donalds. maby we can get a lawyer by group. because i hear a lot of complains. maby prince can help us instead of wining about photograps.
