Exchange? Refunds? 11th August Aftershow Anyone experiencing problems with the above?
Like many who were there on Saturday night, decided not to go to the Aftershow once it was announced there was no live band playing AND refunds exchanges were available as told by the security men and women up and down the queue! we were told that you could bring tickets along for another Aftershow !( what if it is already full?) Phoned ticketmaster today and all i can say is that there is no clear statement given to their staff as conflicting answers were given, there are NO refunds !! and an exchange may be possible if you ring them with your credit/ invoice number send the tickets back and they will send others, obviously this is not going to work especially if you have given/sold tickets to others and considering our postal service What are you experiencing? Is there a clear statement from Ticketmaster? Surerly it would be easier just to go to the box office with your ticket and they should honour a refund or offer an exchange .... with a smile? Or should we just be trampled on by the corporate machine and feed them £$£$£

Explain you bought tickets and the show was cancelled (see BBC website), but you have been unable to get your refund. Job done. .

We actually went in to the afterparty on Aug 11th, it was an awful we knew Prince wasn't going to be there but the DJ was rubbish and it was very empty, The door staff told us if we wanted exchanges (no refunds) to come back to the indigo box office whenever it's open to excahnge the tixs, as the lines on Saturday were crazy.

I'm not going on another night so an exchange was pointless, and I said to my other half at the time "there is no chance we are getting refunds for these, so we might as well just go in and try to make the most of it" I was dissapointed though, my heart sank when I found out it was just going to be some random DJ for the night. I do hope some people are successful with refunds etc but I wouldn't hold your breath....the security guy who spoke to us only mentioned "exchange", the word "refund" was never uttered to me in the queue! Fingers crossed for you guys though x

Did anyone notice the bar as you approach the indigo after the shows where they've been playing Prince and you can just go in there for free anyway? What time do they close?

It's called Brasserie Inc - I told the manager there he was on to something playing Prince after the shows! There are open until 1am. I spoke to a really nice lady at the O2 and exchanged my ticket for another night, she took my name and phone number and the date that I wanted to come back to. All in all I was happy with the way this was handled on Saturday - I even went in to there and had a dance to the shite DJ! He really was AWFUL The Hottest chip of them all - www.hotchip.co.uk - Get down with Prince

Actually by the time I bothered to go near the Indigo it was about 1/1.30 so there was no queue and they were just letting people go in, so I went in to see what was what, came out spoke to a lady with a clipboard and got my exchange. She was basically saying that whether you went in or not, you were still entitled to an excahnge as Prince didn't show. She then went on to say what an amazing time she had had on the Friday! So can you take your existing tickets in this week and get an exchange?

She wrote my name and address and ticket numbers down etc. I would give the Indigo a call, but i THINK that as long as you turn up on the night with your ticket, you can excahnge it then. Not all dates were available as obviously they have already sold out, but she had, as far as I remember, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday this week. She also had some dates in September, but not the last night x The Hottest chip of them all - www.hotchip.co.uk - Get down with Prince

Apparently Ticketmasters' official line from the promoters was that they could only exchange tickets for another night.
However ticketmaster was pushing the promoters to give a full refund as they had so many complaints about the no show. People are advised to wait a day or two and then call back. They should have it resolved by then. This doesn't help some as they have returned home ie Scotland, Manchester, Europe etc This way more and more will swallow the loss because it is made so difficult by promoters etc for people to get an immediate respolve and place £25 quid directly into the profit bin AND service costs etc. Wish you all luck in your endeavors Peace [Edited 8/14/07 7:50am]

We stood in the queue for 2 hours and exchanged for 1st September.
When word first got out we were told that they would refund but when we got there they were refusing refunds ... I have to say that I'm personally quite pleased as it's given me an excuse to tag another show on! Rock on! : I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

I got told by ticketmaster that it is in the hands of the promoters and would be back in touch when then heard from them.
It would have not been too bad if a band of some description played but i feel totally ripped off paying £75 each to see a DJ.

I went back on the Sunday & the staff at the ticket office told me that they could not exchange the tickets as I had bought them from Ticketmaster, not direct from the arena. I live in the Northwest, & the only other night I have show tickets for is the 21/9. There is no chance of me getting aftershow tickets for then...
The show itself was the most unforgettable night of my life. My girlfriend & I are broke, & that Saturday night was the first trip away we have had together for a few years. She bought me the tickets because she knows that Prince has been my hero since I was a kid. I bought the aftershow tickets as a surprise & really thought it would make our weekend away even more memorable. I dont need to explain what actually happened because similar tales of that night have been churned out all over this forum. I got lucky & read on here that tickets for the final show were on sale last week & managed to get a pair. That was supposed to be my girlfriend's birthday present, but I ended up having to tell her what I had bought her way in advance, in the middle of a disgruntled mob in order to explain why we had to queue for an hour and a half in a (vain) attempt to exchange our tickets for 21/9. I dont blame Prince or his gang for the disappointment, but some sort of clear resolution needs to be produced.
