This thread is for people who don't care what songs Prince plays or if he plays them in full or not... theres too many threads with people whinging about what he did or didnt do. I was at the show on the 7th and so far havent got tickets to see any others.. jeez people just think yourself lucky that you can go to mulitple shows some members on here cant even make it to one!
The man could come on stage and do nursery rhymes for all I care just as long as he's there! Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop. | |

Good stuff, but why so confrontational? People have different opinions, that's just life 
Seeing Prince play live is a rare treat, I don't see how anyone could fail to enjoy it... but life would be boring if we all agreed on everything now wouldn't it... | |

Didnt mean to be confrontational, people have their own opinions and have a right to express them of course I just thought there was too many threads about peeps not happy and not enough threads like this... Oh thank GOD! I'm so fed up with the negativity! Thank you Synth for starting this thread. I was completely blown away with the set and loved every second of it! I nearly came when he played 'If I Was Your Girlfriend' 
I'd have liked him to play longer but then he'd be playing from now til eternity to get me 'satisfied' I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

They mostly turned negative when fam sheep came bashing around in there size 9's telling everyone not to complain and be grateful Prince was here! The main shows have been a blast. Tues 7th was my favourite by a mile. . |

I loved the set he played on Friday and he could have played anything and I would have been happy. S
ure I have my favourite songs, many of which were played but his performance as a whole was excellent and the atmosphere was electric. The best show I've been to by any artist! Just wish I could go to more shows!!! | |

I'm a person, so thought this thread was for me.
It isn't. I've loved the shows, been to see half so far and will go see probably half of the remainder, but they would be far better (as they would on every tour he's done this on) if he stopped the bloody medleys! They are an insult to his abilities and cheapen his song book in my opinion. If some fans feel like they've just heard Condition Of The Heart (or Housequake, for chrissakes!) based on a snippet or a single line, then great for them. But many don't. Hell, I wouldn't even consider the opening night closer of Let's Go Crazy as a proper number. It was a few lines and a guitar solo. The fact that he did his usual stagerring of the Dearly Beloved opening for an age shouldn't fool anybody. Do any other major artists partake of this Jive Bunny approach? I love the guy, love him as a performer, but it's time he played these songs properly or not at all in my opinion. Especially when Play That Funky Music and Pink Cashmere can last for 15 minutes!!! I love the shows, but I'm not going to be uncritical. Especially with perfection so frustratingly within his grasp. |
