New camera policy at O2 Now they are asking when you go in if you have a camera. Don't say yes though or it will be taken off you! The woman sitting next to me had hers taken when they did her bag search. They gave her a ticket for reclaiming it afterwards.
There were obviously still loads of people taking photos but they definitely seem to be getting heavier on it now. RIP

This whole pics/camera scenario has thrown into context a bizarre dream i had a few days b4 the 1st nite at the o2.....i was due 2 c Prince do his thing on da fri n' sat...
In the dream, it was as at an aftershow, smaller venue, front facin' stage etc...Prince came on...He was v. close 2 me..good humour, ready 2 play..in a flash, his mood was dark n' he scowled as he hissed.."I'm so tired of being scrutinized!!" End of dream!! I was v. puzzled by it's meaning untill recent events...although the sentiment is surely easy 2 empathize wid.... Da guy just wants share his gift wid us...n' i guess that should b enough.... That's wot God gave us eyes, ears and a memory 4..!!!??

Dont take in cameras in period
There were what seemed 5000 ppl claimin there cameras and missing tubes back etc - its 2am and ive just got home luckily all the tubes were open for my connection. If you take anything do it with a good camera fone, although they could be next on the hitlist. else put it in your back pocket!!! I have to give shout outs to the nice couple from Bradford who I chatted to when my mate went home as it looked like id be waiting hours in line - it took 70mins!! also the guys from Isreal. What a great show!! 7 was on the setlist and i thought Right here on Earth was great

This is why men dont carry handbags I had to chuckle at their highly secure investigation into whether or not I had a camera. "Do you have a camera with you sir?" "Nope" I also like how they don't seem to be too bothered about knives or guns. Apparently you can't shoot Prince with a camera but to do so with a sniper rifle should be no problem. RIP

What about mobile phones with in-built cameras? Will they be confiscating these too?

I wouldn't rule it out but think it unlikely. I had a cameraphone with me but just said no when they asked if I had a camera. RIP

Dont take a picture in the Indigo2
I saw 2 or three people removed last night for taking photos with cameras Not very politely either - literally pullled out from the crowd by the scruff of the neck.

First Prince sells us a mobile phone, now he takes them away.

No, but the stewards wander round the hall telling people to put their phones away. I was there last night and I took a photo whilst Beverly Knight was on - just to see how it would come out (awful btw) and I got told off. Then my friend got tapped on the shoulder and she was just texting on hers during the intermission. Totally over the top and quite pointless. All of my hang-ups have gone. How I wish you felt the same.

I personnally can't enjoy a show through a camera! Nor while eating a pizza like some purple table seat peeps did! "Goodness will guide us when love is inside of us... The Force will be with you, always"

Ha, getting thrown out of a concert because you're taking a picture with a camera phone. Prince should retire. "Don't you think one of the charms of marriage is that it makes deception a necessity for both parties?"

I saw three people get removed last night from the aftershow for taking photos...after being given warnings, so I'm afraid I was glad to see them go. It clearly states no pictures absolutely everywhere - and while I may not understand why Prince has this issue (given the strobe lighting during the show), it's clearly a rule that is visible on tickets, on the door, on the screens and all over the prince websites that we use. So there's no excuse really.
It was actually much nicer to go last night and not have to worry about whether Prince was going to have a strop at a flash in his face and only play for 10 minutes. I must say though, the security were VERY keen on mobiles - I spent a while waiting for the show seeing them peering over people's shoulders to see if they were filming. taking pics or just texting. Most pics from camera phones aren't that great and I would have been gutted to read about the aftershow last night if I'd been thrown out for trying to take a grainy pic! But the security in the o2 was laughable... "do you have a camera?" "No, just some hidden recording equipment for a high quality bootleg" (confused smile by o2 staff) "okay, thank you" This was the actual conversation between my partner and the security guard (he didn't have recording equipment but said it in jest and we were both gobsmacked at the response!)

It's a question of RESPECT. Prince doesn't want any pictures to be taken. He is the artist. I respect that. I respect Prince. So I never take a camera to his concerts.

There are usually official photographers at most concerts anyway so it is best to chill out and enjoy the concert really I am just going to enjoy the experience as i have done previously and not worry about camera's Where have all the raspberry women gone?

Respect - unfortunately ask all the VIP ticket buyers about who is showing who respect.
