R u staying at the Express Holiday Inn? We are staying there tonight and tomorrow and stayed there on 1st August. After the aftershow, we managed to call a taxi, the hotel gave us details. The taxi arrived promptly to take us back to the hotel - the cost was £20.00 but it was 4.00 am!!!!

20 quid? Damn. I'm doing the same to that hotel tonight and tomorrow. There are buses that do it, just 2 buses to catch (no clipper) so I might try that..

the holiday inn express at silvertown (canning station, 1 tube stop on jubilee line) quoted £12. it was £15 to the custom house hotel in docklands, which is much further away. get the taxi firm number from the hotel and call them when you get out to collect you, as maybe thats why you paid more. the private cabs are usually cheaper. i'll be at the silvertown holiday inn fri/sat 17/18 just in case you wonder what the hell the screams are coming from the room. i'm just trying to squeeze into my new jeans

Good luck. When we came out of the first aftershow on August 1st, there were about 150 people in the queue (maybe more) waiting for taxis. The hotel had given us the taxi number fortunately because some people who were staying at the same time waited over 2 hrs to get back to the hotel. Afraid I'm too tired at that time of the night.

Easy as pie....just go to the tube station outside the Arena and Canning Town is the next stop northbound on the tube. Cheap and quick....not sure what time the tube stops running though so I'd check that out if you're heading to the aftershow.

Yes am staying at the express holiday inn if anyone wants to split a taxi fare. Will be two of us.

The tube isn't running at 3.30am I believe and the Thames clippers would only be good for a journey across the river I suppose?
