Afterparty - how'd y'all get home??

So I'm going to the afterparty show next Friday (17/08).

I'm assuming it'll finish around 4am.

People who've gone so far, how do you get home at this time??

Is there a nightbus stop somewhere nearby? Taxi's? What are the options people?!

You kno what, I wondered the same - as reported in the press and by many people who went Friday 3rd August show was uncharacteristaclly short and wrapped up within 2 hours.

The last train/tube leaves at 12:16 AM and we only just made the one that was 2 before it

I guess it depends where you need to get to.

I've been using the Thames Clipper service http://www.thamesclippers...mmuter/166 which stops at London Bridge pier and waterloo pier. It goes every half hour until 04.30am. And only costs £4... such a bargain.

went on friday 10th. there were buses to Lewisham. i got in a taxi (had to wait around 45 mins)

taxi it but leave the aftershow earlier than everyone else, or just be by the door as the aftershow is about to end, then scarper!

One night I need to get near Fincley Road/Swiss Cottage and another night I need to get near Great Portland Street. Can anyone please tell me how to get these places from the aftershow? Thanks in advance.

[b] Thank you so much for the info about the Thames Clipper I wasn't going to go cause had no idea how to get home to South West London. Sounds like a great service. The TFL website was telling me to get about 4 buses not fun at 4am. Cheers Shell biggrin

If your not going to the aftershows, you can take the Jubilee line straight from North Greenwich to Finchley Road or Swiss Cottage. Bond St station is 5/10 mins walk from Great Portland Street. After the tubes stop a good option would be to take the Thames Clipper to Waterloo Pier, from there get a cab, would prob cost about 20 pound to get to Swiss Cottage from Waterloo. Great Portland St is about 20/30 min walk from Waterloo or less than a tenner in a cab.

A good London cab firm that will pick you up from any address, even if your standing outside is Addison Lee 020 7387 8888.

Have a look at http://www.tfl.gov.uk/ you can use their journey planner to help.

lol I loved the boat ride back on the Thames Clipper - they were playing Prince songs last Saturday! Do they do this every night when the boat is full of Prince fans? It's the little things that count... *looks at AEG and Ticketmaster* wink

It leaves from Waterloo pier (right next to the London eye) and stops at London Bridge pier and finally the QEII pier which is adjacent to the O2. Single fares are £4 and returns are £8 - here is a good tip: buy a return fare as the queue for the boat back to Waterloo can be very long at night but if you have a return ticket you will be allowed to the front of the queue which saves a lot of time and effort! It's a really nice journey to the O2 - it takes about 30 minutes and you get some good views of Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, The Gherkin and St. Paul's.
