Worst gig I've attended in years I went to see him last night (Friday night) and it was terrible. The sound was
crap, the setlist was crap and Prince sleepwalked through what seemed like hours of james brown-lite jams. He introduced the band about 4 times !! WTF? No songs from Planet Earth were played yet he found the time to cover Crazy.To add insult to injury, he played the worst version of I feel 4 u I've ever heard. It was good to see Prince again, but I think he's going to struggle to keep the energy and excitement going for 21 nights. I'm going again soon. I bloody hope its better than last night. | |

You have got to be kidding....(but the sound is so dependent on where you are sitting....all the floor seats are HORRENDOUS for sound.
He was on fire last night...as the aftershow proved.... | |

It's funny isn't it. It's all down to personal likes and dislikes. Someone posted that last nights gig was way better than Tuesdays. I was there on Tuesday and I thought it was sensational!!! | |

I didn't see Tuesdays show. Last night was my first and I personally couldn't fault it. There were indeed a few songs I'd rather he'd have sung in place of others but that's my personal preference. The sound was excellent from where I was. I thought the whole show was bloody brilliant and this is the first posting on here I've seen saying otherwise. | |

Probably. I've seen Prince each time he's done the UK and I've always enjoyed the shows. There was one occation during the Nude gigs when he walked off after less than 90 minutes and never came back on - but even that show was better than last night. I'll admit I was sitting in the nosebleed seats so that may be why the sound was shit, but there was no excuse for the lazy approach to some of the songs. Kiss was lifeless and Lets go Crazy seemed to have been thrown in even though it didnt fit with the mood. Starting the gig with 3121 was just plain stupid. Its an OK track, but not a show starter - not by any means. Nothing from P.E and the worst PR solo I've heard him do. Actually, his solo's thoughtout the night were very poor. Just running thought his usual scales with the odd sustained note doesnt make a good solo, but worse when his timing slipped Satisfied was amazing though...I'll give him that Well, at least Spurs losing cheered me up. 4th place? He was on fire last night...as the aftershow proved.... I agree.  I could hardly tell what the songs even were from where I was sitting. It sounded like everything was underwater and his vocals were all tinny and buzzy sounding.

If you mean Friday 3rd tehn Yes, he did seem unusually bored already as it wa steh second show. The set list was surprising at best but then its songs you wont hear again/often. I just hope he doesnt regret 21 nights | |
