Not sure what it was like last night but the aftershow on wednesday was ruined for me by too many p****d up a*****s showing themselves up, bumping into people, causing fights & arguments.
This is a problem which could have a bearing on the future aftershows @ the Indigo.

Maybe this was noticed and hence the reason for the no-show last night.
Manybe not but its definately a problem which needs sorting for the benefit of the fans.

Bring back prohibition i say.

having been there on wednesday - the o2 venue seems well set-up to ensure plenty of people can be fed and watered pre & post-show. the group of friends I was with had a very pleasant time in the slug & lettuce before the concert.

if you make a trip of it and drink from 6pm (if not earlier), without a bit of self-control - you could easily be in quite a state before Prince hits the stage at the after-show.

a penalty perhaps of making the after-show too easy to get to.

I wrote about this in my review of the 1st show+ aftershow. I personally was profoundly disgusted by all those drunken "fans" behaving rudely and spoiling the whole aftershow experience for the others. Why in the world pay so much money to get drunk, collapse , get into fights instead of being high on the music and Prince's presence?? Also,as I wrote in my post, I truly believe Prince was not into treating his fans with respect as he could clearly see the fucked up crowd in the Indigo.People kept on taking pictures even after the repetitve warnings and bodyguards chasing after them.... There was no funky vibe , no party mood from the audience and Prince just left us with a cold "thank you" after one GREAT guitar solo of anothalover and a very mild 3121. But hey the crowd was too wasted to even attempt to bring him back on stage !! Such a shame

don't know about all the drink talk. The ones I saw staggering about were clearly high on drugs. There is a big difference between someone drunk and someone on drugs.

Having said that I thought the crowd at the Indigo were fine. No pushing and shoving, all seemed pretty calm where I was.

Had a great time also, I felt that Prince appeared to be enjoying himself jamming with the band. He was playing with the crowd, pretending to stage dive and throw his jacket and walking on for a moment making a gesture then walking off etc. Although I did not notice any trouble, there are usually a few drunks wherever you go. Besides I am only too grateful that he turned up with the band, and I feel for those who went to the second aftershow with nothing to see, drunks included.

surely if people are SO drunk it is the indigo`s/ security`s duty not to allow them entry!

I didn't notice this drunken behaviour either!

I was further back though, i thought the view was better as it was slightly raised

were people fighting at the front?

It seems strnge, because i had such a good time, and certainly a number of people i spoke to loved it too...the only complaints i heard were from some people who thought Prince wasn't playing enough (but i guess that was without the benefit of hindsight for the next two nights!)

Prince seemed in good spirits to me...he did go off stage a fair bit, but he kept coming back on(smiling) and bigging up the band (who were amazing) and then going off again...why would he keep coming back if he was unhappy?

stop moaning, i'm gonna get smashed on saturday night as i'm at the cricket all day before hand!
