Just back home after a great week in London.
Awsome show the 17th and 18th and even better aftershow, specially the 18th.

The 20th of August I had something extra.
I went to the Pigalle club to see Mike Philly.

The show started around 8.45pm with Quentin Collins (Beverly Knights band). He stopped around 10:30pm with a short break in between.

Around 10.45pm Mike came on stage. He started playing Everyday People with the houseband.
After around 30 minutes of great jamming he asked Shelby to come down from the balcony. She joined him for 2 songs???? Amazing.
Mike seems to enjoy the party. He keeps on playing. Quentin and some other horns joined on stage as well. They even changed the drums and keys while playing.
Around 12.45am Mike leves the stage, while the others still continu playing.
For me it was time to go as well, because I still have to find my way home to the hotel by nightbus.
5:30am the alarm wake me up for going back to the Netherlands.
It all felt like a dream and I wanted to go go back to continu dreaming.

Vince, from the Pigalle club said there where celebs in the house that night, including Prince himself. But Unfortunatly I didn't see him. I was standing (dancing) downstairs, and the closed area was on the balcony. When I came there, Shelby just wanted to leave, including some other girls??? Just enough time for shaking hands.
I can't remember the names mentioned from the other celebs.

Thanks guys, can't wait to see you all again.

i was tempted to go to this but had work the next day at 6am kinda regret not going now sounds like it was a good night

Find out about the gig on these forum (thanks 4 putting it). Then checked at the club to find out what time he was playing.
Hope to add some pictures tomorrow.

You just have to show up at the club. I was there 8.30pm, and there was no fee to go inside. Also no tickets for sale.
Just hang out at the bar, some people were eating as well.
After Mike started, most people went to the small dancefloor to party.

i saw him. he looked hot! i was sitting directly opposite him. he had his hair slicked back - Parade era style - and was wearing a black polo neck sweater. Chelsea Rodgers was there with him too....
