Aug 3rd show - 1st Review - OMG !!

Dear Beloved.
i've just returned from O2 - tonight's show was crazy, amazing, and a top notch perfromance.

it was 10 times better than the wed show which i attended and a very different setlist or flow of songs. please forgive but i cannot remember the exact order [ it'll come 2 me in the morning ]. i know he started with satisfied, cream, u got the look, musicology, play that funky music...also on the set was anotherlover..., joy in repition which was super, peach, purple rain, i feel 4 u, controversy, take me with you and guitar amongst others. sadly the amazing PE was dropped 2 nite.

p was in great form and very relaxed, the crowd were in great form and wild [mexican wave etc]...duration was approx 2 hors so much shorter than wed.

the o2 opened late 2 nite as they were stil tweaking the sound according to security who i spoke with.

i was on vip and got super seats in D1, row E. Prince was lokking out at us all nite. the only negative from 2 nite is that he is still not working the stage, i met with friend after the show who were in f floor sections and they saw him 3 times 2 nite. as i was in d1 i am not complaining, i ever got to hi five shelby !!

live 4 love

met a few buddies 2 nite and the f/back on wed after show was poor. call it a hunch but i do not believe prince will perform there 2 night. he is playing to a full house back in the arena is less than 19 hours..thoough i think he will perform tomorrow nite as there is no show til mid week so i'll try 2morrow.

Just got back too and also have to say that tonight was one of the best concerts I've seen him do. It was at the complete opposite end of the spectrum to Wednesday night and they also sorted out the sound problems because it sounded awesome!

Highlights for me were Anotherlover, Joy in Repetition, Take Me With U, Peach and his bass playing!

Man, it's all such a blur and my ears are still ringing!

Oh, and word obviously got round about the encores, cos hardly anyone left this time when the lights went up smile

I went Friday! It was brilliant, had an excellent view (D Block) it felt like our very own concert hehe. He was in fine form and seemed to be enjoying himself (he smiled a lot) It was great to see. The set list is posted so I'm not going to post it. The crowd was very up for it which contributed to a great atmosphere. Before the gig we had food, I dont know why people have been complaining about the VIP food because you could have anything you wanted, and I'm talking proper food, not cheese on sticks. In fact i only saw one woman walking around with a tray. Soft drinks were free and for alcoholic drinks they gave you tokens.

The upper tear seats are high lol, and the place was full. He certainly knows how to seduce the crowd, overall a very enjoyable experience. thumbs up!

Heyyyy.....I'm still on a high!!!!

I have been a Prince fan for 15 years and this was my very 1st concert.
It was amazing, he seemed to be in great form, even teasing the crowd saying....'what will i play?....Diamonds & Pearls?..(crowd screams!)...maybe Sexy MF?(more cheers)' I lost my voice I was screaming so loud!

I have been reading concert reviews for many years, but nothing could have prepared me for his live onstage presense, it was all I imagined it would be and more!!!

I went with my brother, who got me into Prince back in the day. We were looking around the crowd laughing at how many 80s kids were there!! Mostly people in their late 20s early 30s bopping away, giving it loads!!

This is gonna be a memory to cherish, when he came back to do Purple Rain I was standing up with my hands clasped and a lump in my throat, it was really emotional for me.
Thank you Prince for giving my the night of my life!!!!!

This was also my very first Prince concert and words cannot express how absolutely amazingly fantastic the whole thing was.

nuts woot! nuts woot!

I had seats in row C in the lower tier. As I was walking down the stairs I had not looked up - concentrating on my feet so I didn't fall down - my guy was behind me saying how amazing it was - but I didn't hear him - I just didn't wanna fall over.

It wasn't until I sat in my seat and my partner said "Is this close enough for you?" that I looked up and saw how amazing our view was shocked - I screamed, cried and lost my breath - I thought I may have to leave I was hyperventilating that much!! But I managed to calm.

All my life I have wanted to see Prince live - my parents were fans ( sadly no longer follow him tho) so I have heard Prince ever since I can remember. And the show did not disappoint - an amazing time that I will remember for always.

The Aftershow was something to be desired but that is due to a lack of control over the event and the behaviour of some of the guests - something covered in the Aftershow threads.

On Saturday I went to the Aftershow too - I was so close I could see Prince's boots, his skin, everything about the gorgeous man.

I am on a high and back again next weekend for more.

Peace to Prince - the world would be a better place if more people listened to and understood U!!!!

lol Now I know you're daft!

Cheddar cheese on a stick!

Cheddar cheese (if it's aged properly) is a crumbly cheese, a CRUMBLY cheese!

You're not gonna get that on a stick with any success!

LMAO! lol

Holy snap...
