Seems like it would be helpful to know roughly what's going to happen at aftershows so people who aren't interested in seeing GF/Dr John/Nikka Costa/ whoever can avoid them.

Why don't they make it obvious who's playing - they could do that while still leaving it open whether Prince will make an appearance or not, surely?

You can see that Brownout (which is basically the same members as Grupo Fantasmo, but playing a more funk-oriented set) are playing there tonight and on that page it says:

"Brownout will be opening for Prince as 'Grupo Fantasma' and also playing his afterparty on the 7th August at The O2 arena."

I'd love to know who else is doing the aftershows rather than have it be a surprise (which might turn out to be pleasant or unpleasant)....

Prince performed with Groupo Fantasmo at this year's ALMA Awards. He played Dear Mr man, Get on the Boat and Glamourous Life with Sheila E. It was an excellent 7 minutes.

Anyone going? I was going with my brother, but he's ill so is gonna bail after the main show, so I'll be there on my lonesome.

Yes it was The Word - apologises. I was wracking my brains when I wrote it. My real point is that as he has played with Grupo recently, then hopefully he can cameo this same segment with minimal rehearsal. Just being optimistic (Note to moderator: Are we allowed optimism on P.org?)

I will be there tonight with a small group of folks and probably have a spare aftershow ticket if anyone is short.
