how come everyone else seems to be able to get floor tickets from TM at the last minute...everytime I try, I can't even get upper tier ones? is there a technique?? would love to get more tickets, but want good seats!

There doesn't seem to be a technique, just keep looking regularly and you might get lucky. Yesterday a friend of mine got 2 floor seats for tonight and gave 1 to me!

do you think Ticketmaster is the best place??

start looking about 2 days before each date and check very regularly throughout the day. search for pairs of tickets not singles, as I've often noticed they floors go to pairs, while singles get elsewhere even when booking at the same time. Ticketmaster is the best place as they seem to receive all the additional left over seats.
