Jonfun, I think you'll have no trouble getting a refund from Ticketmaster. Stick with it, work your way up the food chain, stick to the script. There's a knack to getting what you want from a call-centre. If my aftershow tickets prove to be useless I'll be doing the same. I'm quite happy to use the small claims court, it's easy.

If she was white and I said the white girl would that be offensive. I don't know her name sorry. I was pissed off about the aftershow gig and did not want to go searching through threads to find her name.

Ok just sent an email of complaint to Ticketdisaster so fingers crossed, just out of interest does anybody have a telephone number for these clowns I have looked but can not see one!

I saw the same thing. I thought i saw Prince there for a while too! Him not playing really pissed me off! I think we all have to go and complain at Ticketmaster. I want my money back! Im feelin'ripped off and thats not the way you handlle a loyal fan whos buying every cd, dvd and visit all concerts! He should be fucking ashamed of himself! Ive been a fan for more then 23 yrs now and im not putting up with this! Im want a refund and Im gonna write the management of Prince a very pissed mail also. I think we as fans should be in this together and all do the same! I bought 5 tickest as a present from me to my friends. It costs me more tehn 160 pounds and i did not get anything. Even thinking of hacking the official prince website to learn him to show some respect to his fans! Fucking bastard!

I bought my aftershow tickets like everyone else and when I attended on Wednesday I knew a Prince performance was not definite.

When on any other UK tour have performances by Prince at Aftershows been absolutely guaranteed? I went to 3 Aftershow parties in London in 2002 and saw ONE performance. Why is this tour any different?

Were we all really expecting Prince to perform 42 shows?

I am not being argumentative nor trying to denigrate peoples concerns. I'm just trying to understand how this situation has developed and how some people seem to have different information and expectations than myself.

I am naive and stupid my ticket says PRINCE-OFFICIAL AFTER SHOW so I presume this is a show after the main show and as it states PRINCE on the ticket I rightly or wrongly assume he will be there and like everyone else was NOT told otherwise!

So when you fill in job application forms and it asks if you are White, Black, Asian etc. Is that racist?

Even the police force as these options on thier application forms.

Seriously, if you have trouble getting a refund (and I don't think you will, if you push hard enough) go to the small claims court. There are loads of websites that tell you how to do it, it isn't expensive or difficult, and you'll get your money back.

De facto it doesn't matter what the law is anyway, noone is going to go to the small claims court for the sake of £25 and even if they did, if Ticketmaster/AEG defended the claim and won (which they would) you'd be looking at paying the cost of Ticketmaster's/AEG's lawyers who, I imagine, are probably fairly pricey. Now, as good as this is the last time Prince plays the old hits, that's genuinely the last from me.

Anyway, I definitely understand people are upset about Prince not performing after the show. It's only because I have been able to see several shows in the US since 2002 that I knew Prince would be less likely to perform late night.
He's trying for a setup similar to what he had in Vegas, but the major difference is that now there's 2000 people in the room in stead of a few dozen, and instead of it being pretty much instantly clear whether Prince is going to perform or not, people are now staring at curtains till 4 in the morning.
Even tho I have travelled the world to see Prince play, I haven't bought a single aftershow ticket. In part cos by now i realise that I have experienced shows since 86 that Prince will never be able to top. The other part is that I knew this was going to happen, and there's few things worse in my book than being stuck in a crowded room with Prince fans that are tired, drunk and frustrated.

I bought the tickets from a concert page for Prince on ticketmaster. There is no mention of a party on the ticket or on ticketmaster. Why would anyone pay £25 to go to a party when the main concert is only £31. I could have gone to two concerts for £6 more. But the way the tickets have been sold have lead fans who do not go on 3121 website to think that Prince will perform. I bought the tickets as soon as they went on sale. There was no talk that Prince would not show up. Ticketmaster have no mention of the fact he won't turn up.

I have told them to change the way they sell the tickets. Call it something like 3121 party etc. Not the offical prince aftershow.

There is also balcony seating for sale for £75 why would anyone pay that money to watch a party and not be able to get down to the dance floor.
