I think you'll find the person who was on the left of the stage grabbed something from the stage (thats' what it looked like to me anway)

also...if that is the reason he left the stage then he needs to get real
everyone has a camera in their pocket these days on their phone, he's a legend, an icon, and he's in the public eye...if he's on stage, being PAID to perform, then he has to expect to be photographed
privately, on a nite out, is another thing altogether

Then they came past us through the crowd to try to get to the person who was doing it. They headed straight to where you would have been standing to get those shots. I lost them in the crowd after that so I don't know if they actually got the person or not. But they were saying, "That guy right there with the camera! (and pointing) Get him out of here. Get him and take him backstage RIGHT NOW!" They weren't trying to get someone out for grabbing something off the stage. They were trying to get the person with the camera.

They were yelling this really loud while standing next to Prince onstage as he played and Prince heard all of this and got really upset. Then he left.

I think it was a combination of the photos being taken AND how security handled the whole thing, because they were really loud about it while standing right next to him while he played. You could tell he was really distracted by all of it and got pissed off.

I was there till 2:30 when most people started to leave as it became obvious that we'd been shafted for £25 and wasted 3 hours of our lives

I know that there was some guy who had been recording the show every night (overheard the bouncers on the left hand side of stage discussing it). That was who the bouncer told to stop when prince first come on, the bouncer next to prince on the stage indicated to the guy to stop by putting his fingers cross his throat. then the bouncers had a discussion after prince went off and i assumed they kicked the guy out because about 6 of them went into the crowd to get him....myself and partner were sitting on the floor by the ramp at the time on the left hand side of the stage .. once the stuff started to get packed away we left .. shame he didnt give a general warning about behaviour like what happened in bagleys aftershow, ppl were warned there that until everything calmed down prince would not come out, but after it had quientened down he came out and gave excellent show ...

my partner and i overheard the security telling each other about some guy who actualy had profesional recording gear in there and had been seen recording on the first aftershow as well i think they should really tighten security up in the indigo and people should be body frisked before going in this should sort them out a bit

Like I said, there was probably more than one reason that he decided not to play any further that night, and it didn't just have to do with recording.

if u want to blame someone for a crap Prince aftershow, blame the man himself
he needs to get over the whole photography issue...provided people dont shove a long lens down his throat & constantly use a flash I really don't see what his problem is...or yours for that matter

Why does it say right on the tickets that no photography is allowed? Because he gets pissed off about that sort of thing and it will likely affect how or if he performs at aftershows. Prince is a total control freak obviously, and I have no idea why he's so camera shy, but I'm pretty sure that everyone who was there would have liked to see him onstage for more than 5 minutes. People that disregard his "rules" knowing full well that he hates that sort of thing and always has, just ruin it for everyone else there that would have liked to see him in a better mood and play for longer. THAT's why I have a problem with all the security running through crowds to try and find people recording and taking photos. It will only lead to Prince leaving the stage early, which is what happened.
