Print your own tix

Has anyone done this instead of getting them in the post? I'm worried they will look fake if they dont print too well.

That's risky as hell and I think concert tix have some special code on them that is scanned so printing wouldn't work..

I've done it, they send you a PDF file to print, A4 size, ticket info at top, adverts for the remaining 2/3 of the sheet. There's a barcode on there if I remember correctly.

It's from ticketmaster - print out the PDF and the ticketmaster info + email and there shouldn't be an issue. It's like online check in at the airport - everyone else has nicely printed tickets, I turn up with a black and white A4 sheet I've folded up in my pocket that I've printed off from the BA website. You won't be the only one there using it.

I did it and it worked fine. There was a delay of about 10 minutes before the tickets came through after the order confirmation, which made me nervous, but it all worked just fine. They scan a barcode on the tickets the same as they do on the normal tickets.

Given the current postal strike, I'd definitely opt for this option again. I don't think it was available when I first put my order in.

And don't worry about them looking fake - as long as the barcode prints fine, you'll be okay. They don't have a pic of Prince on them or anything like that.

I save my tickets so I never use "ticketfast". If you dont care to save the ticket after its fine. You have unique barcode.

You can save your tickt from ticketfast as well ???
At least here in Holland, since the tickets are not specially designed for the event with photographs etcetera.

See, me, I wouldn't want to do that, I want the TICKET. I still carry my 'Gold Experience' ticket from March 95 in my purse. It's old, faded and tatty and I've carried it with me for the last 12 years ( eek )

I shall be adding my new ones to make a collection.

...wow... does that make me a bit sad? neutral
I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

C'mon and dance while you, while you still have your cherry babe, cherry babe..

You can save your ticketfast ticket but its nothing more than a boring piece of printer paper. I want the actual ticket as a keepsake.

I bought some tickets from ticketmaster at 4.30pm last night for last night's concert.... I got 3 in C3, Row D all together.

They sent me the pdf and everything - it was all good.

When I got to the arena, I queued up for about 10 mins to collect 'real' tickets - said my printer didn't work. No problem - so I got great seats and a real ticket to boot. You just need to have the credit card with you that you used. If I was abroad, this is how I would be doing it.

cheers
