WORSE ODDS THAN THE LOTTERY I'm about to see Prince for a 10th time in my lifetime, and never in my days of going to live gigs have I experienced anything like this. I know it's only early days, and that he's playing 21 shows so it needs to keep fresh with set lists etc etc because some people are going to all the shows or multiple. But, due to costs restraints, travelling times, days off.... some of us are only going to 1. Now don't get me wrong, Prince is the best artist in the world, both live and recorded, and the show will be awesome whatever, but is it right that some nights he'll do over 2 hours, some less. Some nights he'll turn up at the aftershows, some he won't. I'm just not sure concert going should be so potentially hit and miss, especially with the money we're paying out. And it's not just about the £31.21, it's the hotels, travel, afterhows, hotels ..... I just hope I hit the bonus ball when I go.

True its a gamble alright! im travelling to 2 concerts and the first is Aug 17th - which is a Friday and I am wondering will he bother turning up at the aftershow that night, as he has a concert on the Sat night too (like last night). Its impossible trying to guess when are the best nights to go - we had to book them based on work, childminders etc, so there isnt alot we can do about it! I really hope he hasnt gotten sick of "Controversy" by the 17th, coz I really would love to see him play it!

Me too, I am going 3 times and the travel and accommadation is whats going to skint me out totally ,but its like any gig ,some are better than others. Each gig will be a unique experience and I will lap them all up! At least I'm lucky enough to be going to more than one, thats the way I look at it. I have been to 2 aftershows in my life, one he turned up the other no show and it ruined my whole night. i'm just gonna enjoy the main gig and that'll do me fine!

my advice would be to just enjoy it - I went on Saturday night and had an amazing time - our travel, hotel etc was all great. The aftershow party wasn't brilliant but it was a nice place to hang out and have a drink (very resonabley priced btw) and contemplate the show and even though Prince only played for a second I still really enjoyed it. For me it was perfect cause he finished on Nothing compares 2 u which is my all time fav prince song. Just go and have a good time.

Every main gig will be great! You'll aways have that! Just avoid the aftershow to avoid disappointment! .
