Well having missed the last five songs last night I wasn't about to miss it this time so I stayed until the head of security literally threw me out tonight. LOL.

The show started much later than Weds - at about 8.45, and he was done with the main part of the show by 10.30pm. Then with fannying about of "ooooh, big surprise - he's coming back on with the lights up" he finished Guitar at about 10.50pm and that was it. He wasted SO much time tonight with the disappearing into the stage and coming back up again stuff. He could easily have done four or five more songs in the time he wasted.

Major anti-climax after Weds really, even though the crowd were a million times better.

Great to see him mix the set up so massively already though! smile

LOL, I'd be the same especially after the first night!!! Sounds good to me - I'll be happy with a mix of new and old - plus Controversy - I really want to hear that!

Controversy kicks ASS! So good to see the whole crowd up and dancing to that tonight! Prince was like "It's Friday night - I wanna dance all night!" and the crowd gave him that back.

Oh - one of the Twinz fell over tonight during... erm...Kiss? Perhaps? Poor thing - must be hard enough dancing in those heels but after all the ticker tape has dropped during Lolita makes it extra-deadly! LOL

He dropped Desperate Housewives in Kiss tonight and just said Big Brother which got a big laugh again. No slagging of Madonna either. Heh. Perhaps he realised that implying he's only had 4 hits wasn't that smart wink

The 'oh funky London' chant actually got going, but some of the people who got up and danced seemed to be the same people who got up onstage on Weds!

Just remembering more about it - there was no intro-video tonight - the lights just went down and the band filed out of the corner and started playing as they went through the crowd and up onto the stage. Prince came up through the middle and was kept in really low light all the way through the whole of Satisfied which was an odd song to start with as the excitement of the crowd instantly dipped as it was clear most of them didn't know it, although he really played up to the song and won them over.

He did the "now what shall I play" thing before Kiss again - but this time added Soft And Wet and I Wanna Be Your Lover to the list of songs that patently loads of the crowd wanted to hear, but which he didn't play. Tsk tsk etc wink

There was a little bit of Housequake thrown in towards the end of one of the songs - possibly Black Sweat, but I'm not defo on that - and that got an absolute ROAR from the people around me in block 114.

Thankfully there was no re-appearance of either the wheelies or the purple flag-waving. If I remember more - I'll add it in.

Totally agree about the crowd! 2nite tho was guitar focused... Bare naked guitar solos... I know what u mean about the time wasting... But I guess they do need time to recover a lil' wink He is 49! Although looks like he's just going thru puberty again lol

I felt it was a different experience to Weds evening...Shame he didnt do a come back like the opening night... In 15 mins he could do a real wicked medley... Perhaps in another space in time smile

Yeah, don't get me wrong - in terms of getting up and dancing around and his feeding off the energy, I far preferred tonight - but I was expecting another 30-odd song set. Perhaps I've too high expectations based on Weds etc?

This was my first time seeing Prince after 20 years of being a fan and what can I say.....musically it surpassed all I have seen before. However I will say a couple of things to temper this....the man seemingly has no idea how to build up any momentum during a performance as every time people around me were really getting into the groove and dancing he would disappear for ages and we would all sit down again!

I was with 3 friends all of whom I would call casual listeners and if anything more aware of his major hits and they all felt the same and that he did not play enough hits. I guess with his varying of the setlist I could not have expected it to be as good a selection as on Wednesday - which I did not attend - however it was a shame how short the gig was in comparison. I for one stayed sat down until I was kicked out, constantly telling my friends that "no he will definitely be out again to perform Little Red Corvette, Rasberry Beret etc etc."

Don't get me wrong what I did get I thought was out of this world and his guitar/bass playing was everything I had hoped for. Its just I guess I wanted more more more biggrin

Maybe I will try to go to another gig later on and see yet more of his classic back catalogue. Oh that reminds me I wanted more from Planet Earth.....only Guitar in the whole concert!!!

The fact that he is small does not depend on whatever row you scored nor the fact that the show is over and the row does not count.

FANTASTIC gig!!! woot! dancing jig

I was in the upper tier this time and - for anyone worried about that - you get a bird's eye view of the stage. We could literally see everything that was going on.

A MUCH better setlist than Wednesday's show, improved sound, the crowd were in a great mood, Prince really fed off their energy and he TORE up the guitar!! It was a vast improvement on the first show.

Can't wait for tonight's gig! woot!

Yeah I thought it was much more of a 'Fan's' gig last night ... absolutely fantastic - things that stood out for me

...anotherloverholeinyourhead..

Then when he was saying ..what shall I sing now? Starts listing stuff - people scream at everything

Then - I feel for you.. controversy..

joy in repetition - AMAZING .. people around me going is this even a song - as I'm S C R E A M I N G the words ! lol .. it was like a small smoky jazz club - how ?? I don't know - JUST AMAZING

People I was with haven't seen him in like 15 years .. and when he had everyone up on the stage at the start - and that girl was dancing like crazy (v well I thought) ... and he goes 'the bar is now CLOSED' .. crowd crack up - my friends are like - we forgot how funny he was !

We were in 108 last night - decent seats.

Purple Rain / Kiss - yeah fine - but like everyone on here HOW many times have we seen them live - they're great but for me it was all the bit more obscure stuff that I LOVED. JUST LOVED.

And I know it's cheesy - but I just love take me with you - so glad he played it again.

Roll on the next one next saturday - it's going to be a long 21 nights !!!! YAY.
He was right - a new name does feel mighty fine....now for some fun - MWA HA HA HA
