Camera's at the o2?

Hi

Can anyone who was at Wednesday night's show tell me what their policy is for cameras? I'd like to bring my SLR but wouldn' want it seized by the Copyright police or whoever.

Thanks!

they are pretty strict against cameras so be careful - the aftershow was worse still as the security guys just walked on people to get to 'offenders' was a bit over the top

I was taking pictures and recording whenever I wanted to. You'd be VERY unlucky if they ejected you (though that's the supposed threat), and unless they're completely unreasonable the worst you'd get is a warning. I was in the middle of a row though so harder to get to I guess even if they'd wanted to.

I emailed O2 customer services and this is their official response:

Thanks for your email. You are allowed a small personal camera with you, just don’t break out a tripod or a zoom lens and you should be fine! Enjoy the concert!

If you do a search on 'Prince O2' on flickr.com you will see plenty of pics although most of them are taken with camera phones and compacts.

They made a really big thing about not using cameras and announced every ten minutes before the show that Prince requests that you do not take pitures. I saw someone getting a quick telling off for taking a picture on their phone but they were not 'ejected'. I suppose it comes down to wether you want to do as Prince asks. i didnt take any out of respect, more fool me!! My husband took some though he has no respect!! wink

They searched all bags going in. You won't get an SLR in unless you swallow it.
