I think P needs to decide what he wants the show to be. Hits or not.

I know my casual fan friends will be a little dissapointed with the songs. They all have the new free giveaway album, so the set should be made up of hits and new stuff.

And the term "hit" is confusing. Take Cream for example. It was only a big hit in the US, it was a so so hit here. However, the casual fan this show is catering for will still enjoy it.

Set change?

Purple Rain and Lets Go Crazy. Swap them round!
Lets go crazy. Please sing the verses, it sound crap without them.
Finish songs. I feel for you, Girls & Boys, U got the look. all major edits.

If he wants to bowl the audience over, he only needs a could of tweeks to the set:

Out: Satisfied. In:Future Baby Mama
Out: Shhh In: The Most Beautiful Girl in the world
Out Wonderful World In: East (edit!)
Out: Lolita: Little Red Corvette
Out: Black Sweat: In: 1999
Out: Pink Cashmere: In: When Doves Cry
Out: Crazy: In: Chelsea Rodgers

No see what the reviews would be like!

The "3121" era will apparently end when the last bottle of perfume is emptied. wink

I'm certainly not impressed yet, but this is only 1 show of 21.

His own site claimed that 6 new songs were being rehearsed, including a mash-up of "Chelsea" with "Sexy Dancer", so it would appear that things will change.

He joked at his own Minneapolis after show about the bootleggers beating him to market if he played any of the new material.

That's very true, Prince, and it's safe now; especially in a city where you gave away nearly 3 million copies of your latest. wink

Anyway, everyone is fortunately different. I have extreme confidence in the new material, even if I'm the only one listening (and it's obvious that I'm not).

Anyway, it'll take a year or two to see if Prince has my confidence, not one main show and one after show.
