FIRST 3 SHOWS COMPARED The first gig was cool - it was more strctly timed (8.30-11 as the blurb states this was inc gaps and encores), and think it was more geared to the reviewers etc. He played more newer material and there seemed to be more 'gaps' where he disappeared between songs and the songs could ramble a bit at times. Great though - hightlight for me was long version of Pink Cashmere and playing Cream at the beginning. He seemed to make quite a few jokes and play with the audience. The crowd were a bit edgy i felt and didnt really react to the new songs.
Fri 3rd i feel was more fun and had more of a party atmosphere - he also played more of the well known hits. The intro where his band came on by walking to the stage while playing was AMAZING. 1 encore - Guitar, finished earlier, 10.45pm. Both nights i was in the upper tiers. Sat 4th - I was on floor seats after doing the VIP thing - EXCELLENT as you feel part of the action and you can see all the masses of people surrounding you. He really played the popular hits, didnt really touch PE apart from Guitar and I felt the order was good - it was fun and the crowd were really feeling it, I looked up and saw nearly everyone dancing in the arena near the end - thats pretty amazing. It was good to be close to Prince too especially when he often looked over to the crowd, scanning them, making people feel involved. Encore was good and didnt have to wait for the 'will he wont he moment'. Only downside is you cannot see the stage and the lighting effects at all or the TV screens, so would recommend seeing it another time from above. Much slicker, he seemed to revel in playing all the feelgood hits back to back. This may be biased as I was on the floor but this was a great show. OVERALL v.impressed - Black Sweat live is absolutely amazing, a million times better than the album version. Maceo's solos half way through are great too. Ive been to the first 3 as im going abroad for my job and wont be able to catch the rest. Cant belive P is his age he seems so young, playful and youthful still. The sat show felt like he was at the top of his game, almost felt as if I was seeing him at one of his earlier concerts, ie Lovesexy.

I didn' see Wednesday's show but for me Saturday pissed all over Friday's show.
Friday was lit badly with poor sound quality, a 'bitty' show with too many breaks (for people to buy more alchohol). Saturday was coherent, beautifully lit, flowed well, great energy, and better sound quality. I think some of these factors may have something to do with where you were sat. Friday I was 117 row W, Sat was 107 row AA.

I honestly think that the setlist on the opening night was the best and the longest so far. I enjoyed the show tremendously, Prince was phenomenal !!!
