Am I expecting too much??

Am I the only one surprised that he didn't play the piano ONCE tonight or the bass. No Wendy, Sheila or Candy either. Same setlist he's done all year. Maybe I'm expecting too much, perhaps hoping its 1988 again.
However, for a casual new P fan I reckon they'll be well happy with that show. It was as tight as always, slick as f***.
I'll be interested to see what the other 120 songs he's been rehearsing are! wink

Old farts. Thats just what you guys are. I never write negative comments on here, coz i think other people do enough of that on here (esp you lot who take the whole 'fan' thing abit too seriously)...But YOU LOT ARE SO DEPRESSING! My god - sorry, we're not a billion years older, sorry many of werent old enough to see Prince in 1988...You lot CONSTANTLY go on about how "people need to stop comparing Prince to his Purple Rain Days" - and look whats goin on? Were your expectations too high? YES? F*** Me? What did you want him to do? A Madonna? Sit on a cross, get naked and be totally inappropriate for his age, just for the sake of a "wow" moment? Dude and Dud'ets...Come on? The man is of age now? Hes doing gigs and performing his 'hits' - he just released ONE album just a couple weeks ago and you expect him to play all new songs? From someone whos never seen him before and is under the age of 30 - i can tell you now - if i didnt get THE hits performed, id want my 30 quid back.

Ive decided im not reading any more of ANY ones "post-gig" posts - coz you lot are just kill joys. I know, im gonna get the typical, "prince.org, fanatics, over-the-age of god knows what, nothing better to do with their time, take the whole Prince and this site too seriously" responces and thats fine - coz i aint reading them lol so go ahead - do your thang, just for god sake, shut the F up about how "over rated" it was - its like your my mum talking about the "crzy 60's" - ITS GONE. GET OVER IT. GET WITH THE TIMES!

Im Out. Laaaaataz.

I actually enjoyed the show. All I was saying was as a master multi- instrumentalist it was a shame he only played guitar last night. Also the set list was pretty much the same as vegas (150 songs rehearsed?) and the promise of Wendy, Sheila and Candy (heavily rumoured to all be there) didn't materialise.
If you're "totally happy" with that, thats great for you. As I said I enjoyed the show but couldn't help feeling slightly let down by it. It was an opinion, okay? Not a capital offence.
SoulSupreme, you managed to release all that pent up frustration yet? Twat. jerkoff

Well... as they say u'll always remember ur 1st...
1988 Lovesexy... Seen him 5 other times since... Including last night... and last night Rated 2nd!
I remember the NUDE tour was meant to be back 2 basics pure music no gimmicks hence nude...
I felt last night was NUDE... Guitar - Horns - Keyboards - percussion - Real music by real musicians as HE put it...and some of the most cherished hits... A Prince Concert with a medley of hits would last easily 5 hours i recon! So many hits so little time indeed! Iwouldn't mind being there 10 hours smile
I remember the days when the crowd 'CLAPPED THEIR HANDS and STOMPED THEIR FEET' to get his royal purpleness out to perform encores... I was somewhat disappointed to find the 'congregation' yesterday leaving ... giving up so easily at 1030pm! What's wrong wit u ppl?
Show the luv and u'll get luv back in the form of a per4mance u'll cherish!

Amen! wink
