Prince had decided to not only play the O2 for the masses (with the hardcore fans in attendance anyway) but also play some special NPGMC Club member gigs only at the Indigo (ie only members of the NPGMC would have been able to buy the tickets). Perhaps even have let us vote (in advance) on the tracks we wanted to hear?

For me that would balance out my feelings about in the past having felt like a special exclusive group who had stayed with Prince through the tough times along with it being great that it is again cool that loads of people want to see him again.

I'm sure Prince loves that you're there for him, but he's equally happy for new people to see his show and find his music. Why should they be excluded from aftershows?

I'd rather see Prince play the set he wants to play than be a human jukebox playing what the fans vote for. Anyway, you'd just end up with the hits because it's the only thing the fans will agree on.

My point was that in 2002 the NPGMC members got pre-warned about the show at the Marquee and had passes to guarantee entry. It was awesome. Repaid our loyalty by making us feel special and also meant that his real fans got to be right at the front.

Just think it would be way cool to do that again (and again and...)
