First Night - Where Did U Sit & What Was It Like?

Thought it would be cool to have a thread giving details of what the views and sound was like wherever you happened to be. Would be useful for Orgers going to later shows and also for anyone who went last night who's sitting somewhere else next time

I was in Block 102 Row D. Centre of the row right in front of the stage and had a superb view of everything. We were slightly above stage level so didn't have to crook our necks. The sound was also pretty good, if maybe a little muffled during a couple of parts.

All in all top drawer!

We sat , Lower tier, Block 114, Row L. Fantastic seats, close ot the stage and you can see everything. downside is that its by the circle part of it so thats where all the band are hidden behind their toys. He did come round a few times though. For a large part he had his back to us.. Its all good though, he would have to have 2/4 faces to please everyone !

Aftershow was wicked. some fantastic guitar work during the main show but at the aftershow gig he really tore his axe up BIG time (at 2am)... Then passed it to us and we all grabbed it before the technician asked for it back. Everyone got a bit excited though thinking he was giving it away ! Haha..

OMG! He let mere mortals touch his guitar? Which one, surely not the hohner? I thought the main show was not very guitar oriented at all except for a few bits here and there which I could not hear anyway in my seats.

I was sat in Floor E1 Row C via VIP seats. Poor view, it did not give me an immersive feeling at all and even worse sound. I'm looking forward to being in the lower tiers the rest of the nights.

Bk 106, Row CC 195-198: slightly to the left of centre and only 3 rows from the front of the lower tier. Perfect positioning as far as I was concerned. At the 'pointy' end of the stage which Prince certainly favoured. Close enough to the action but with the 'stepping' of the tiers, even the shorties with me could see.

For the final encore we joined the crowd around the stage on the floor and to be honest I'm glad we didn't go for floor seats. While it was great to be so close to the action, the stage is VERY high and we could see much better from our original seats.

Also, the sound was great from 106. We could clearly hear Prince's vocals and no particular sound element dominated the mix. In fact, I was surprised to see reports of poor sound in some of the reviews here, since we were really impressed during the gig.

All in all I was more than happy with our seats, especially since we'd originally been in Bk 409, but exchanged them when the 'heights' warning appeared.

I thought the Indigo was a cool little venue too. We were downstairs and quite happy to hang back a bit and have space to dance, but we could see and hear perfectly well.

Could you see where row K was? That's where we'll be sitting... 102-K.

I was in Block 107, row H seat 223.

View was spot on. We were just raised up enough to get a perfect view over the heads of the floor in front. Also I had seats missing in front of it, so I had my own dance area. Loads of space.

Best thing was that P performed most of the show looking straight at us. He doesn't really perform like he is in the round, much like with Lovesexy.

Block 102 - Row Y which is the second to last row, but brilliant view of the entire stage for the whole show, but the sound wasn't as good as I've heard it in that arena. Probably due to the spreading of the speakers so they face in all directions. Looking forward to comparing much lower down in the lower tier tomorrow.

Annoyingly found that Row Y makes a perfect place for a (too) swift exit to beat the crowds when the house lights come up.

Grrrrr. Lesson learned. Tsk.
