Last nights aftershow...anyone have details??? Having read the reviews on here the main show sounds amazing!!!!! Can't wait for Saturday. And a sell out to, which is reassuring. I'd hate to be at the show only for it to be three quarters full.
Anyways.....did any Orgers go to the aftershow last night??? I hear Prince did eventually come on stage. I've got tickets to the Saturday aftershow and was wondering if anyone could give more details. What was the music like before the band came on? Was it a DJ spinning some classic Prince cuts??? Also, I presume it was standing downstairs...was therefore a lively dancefloor?? Was it a bit of a mad rush to get into the Indigo from the mainshow?? And was there a strict dresscode for getting in the Indigo?? Thanks guys and gals!! www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

...just back from the aftershow....I'll speed it as im bloody knackered! The band came on around 1:20 and were totally funked up. Major horn blowing! Candy Dulfer was there to join in too. Prince turned up on stage about 45 minutes later and then gave some hard rock guitar takes on some familiar tunes inc. Anotherloveholenyohead! Superb. The NPG came back for more, inc. Pass The Peas when they were re-joined by P. We left when they went off stage at about 2:50 so dont know if they returned. hello this i read on another site!!!hope it helps...

*yawns* Sorry, didn't leave til just before 3am and got home about 3:40 so a litlle tired!
Firstly, there is no dress code. Jeans and trainers and t-shirts were allowed.... as were white suits, what looed like a black leather vest and colour Bemuda shorts! As for the pre-band music is was a combo of early Prince related stuff (Sheila E, Chaka Khan etc.), Prince (I wanna be your lover, Lets work, Housequake, I would die 4 u) and other music - all funky, hip-hoppy n dancey. There was a massive queue for the IndigO2 but it went down quickly. Inside is intimate but you should be able to see the stage from wherever you stand. Only downside for me was that they didn't have enough bar staff on so the wait for a drink was bloody long... and their pumps wern't working so no pints. Nice venue though - we were to the left against the rail..

WAS WENDY THERE?? sorry can't say it's all i know for now No Wendy I'm afraid. NPG were tight and the horns were blowing hard - drums/keys were fantastic and Prince guitar was ferocious at times was a great atmosphere. Now some buts..... too many nobs trying to barge in front with glasses of bear while people were trying to get into the show The over zealous security trying to walk over people who were trying to get shots of their heroes (or even just texting!) And to be honest some of the neverending Jazz with no merciful break of some P singing for those of us who can only clap a screaming trumpet so many times lol All in all though a great experience!

Thanks for the info guys and gals.....I presume that it might be worth hanging back a bit then and not rushing over to get in for 11:30 if the band aren't gonna be on until later. As our hotel is just the road, depending on what time the concert finishes, the missus and I are contemplating nipping back to the hotel to refresh and change for the aftershow.
I'm also hoping that the Saturday is the last aftershow until the following week Prince might pull out the stops and give a blinding show before his few days off. www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

Yeah, we hung around and got a drink and generally chilled until around 12:30. Unless you want to be right in front of the stage you'll be fine tking your time
