O2 Main Show

Just back from the main show. The set list was fantastic. I have to start at the end as this was the MOST exciting bit. Prince ended the show and people had began to leave when he came back in from the far back left of the main arena and was ushered through the remaining fans to the stage - I ran over and managed to 'gently' stroke his arm - he looked frightened!!! Not as intimate a Prince meeting as the handshake and chat I had in Vegas:) I then managed to run to the very front of the stage and he got up there and tore the house down with Little Red Corvette, Sometimes It Snows In April, A Love Bizzarre, Raspberry Beret, Chic's 'Le Freak', 'Get On The Boat' and 'Funky London Chant'

This reminded me of the Diamonds And Pearls gig in London when he came back and played 'Call The Law' - anyone remember this?

The whole show started with Purple Rain and followed in no particular order with Girls and Boys, U Got The Look, Black Sweat, Controversy, Kiss, Satisfied, If I was Your Girlfriend, Cream, DMSR, Pink Cashmere, Get On The Boat, Lolita, Planet Earth, Guitar, Here On Earth, Musicology, Take Me With U, Sexy Dancer, Gnarls Berkley's 'Crazy', Let's Go Crazy, Nothing Compares 2U, I Feel For You, One Nation Under A Groove, Shhh, 7, Come Together As One...'Funky London Chant'

Please someone else put these in order!!! I'm too tired and hyperactive to think it all through!!

Later people...now I can't wait for Friday and Saturday and need my beauty sleep!! He's hotter than ever, welcome back to London Prince.

YO! I was there at earl's court...they all came back wearing towels after a good 20 minutes of house lights up. I distinctly remember panic striking when i was almost outside and a voice from the PA came over - "London...we ain't gone yet"....I ran like crazy and managed to be in the front. It was the Final D&P gig in london methinks...

My apetite for the september gigs i will attend is growing...

But please elaborate - the setlist of this encore sounds like a pretty long set - was it acoustic at start? how long was it?

lol I was talking to someone about the call the law incident just today. Though bet this was a bit more civilised. I remember that night that people were literally clambering over chairs to get back in and loads of them got bent and broken in the process.

Hey ...
It was acoustic to start - Little Red Corvette with P on guitar then SISIA and the band returned with P after he first left the stage down his 'hole'

It started around 10.40 and finished up around 11.00.

but NOT on acoustic guitar. Just Prince and his hohner clean tone very nice and without the drums/bass it was a joy to hear. He also played Raspberry Beret before the band appeared.

Lots of people in there taking pictures and recording video that I saw. Inevitable some will pop up on YouTube.

By the time he came back on most people had already left. I know I did. Lucky for me I'm going back on Saturday. Would someone please post a reply if he comes back on stage in his next couple of shows. At least then we'll know to wait around.
