GETTING BACK

I'm staying at the Novotel on the Royal Victoria Dock. It's only 3.5 miles to walk, but my other half will never make that. Does the Thames Clipper stop there? Or is it easy to get a taxi? I'm off to the aftershow party as well, so are we all pretty much screwed?

It may only be a 3.5 mile walk, but i'm guessing that would be via the Blackwall Tunnel - which you're not allowed to walk through!

As far as i am aware the Clipper does not stop there, so the best way would be either tube or taxi. There may be a night bus that goes through the tunnel but you'll have to check - http://www.tfl.gov.uk/

I think that I'm right in saying that the Thames clipper O2 express only calls at Waterloo pier, London Bridge pier & the O2. So I guess a cab or shanks' pony would be best.

Search for routes and times here: http://journeyplanner.tfl...anguage=en

Just enter North Greenwich to Royal Victoria.

I live 15 mins from the venue and local knowledge tells me your only hope of getting back esp. if you are going to the aftershow is a taxi. Perhaps book one before you leave the hotel.

Royal Victoria docks is the other side of the river, so you will need to go through the tunnel - buses dont go that route.

I have the same concern at the moment - going to the aftershow on Saturday - thinking of booking a taxi to pick me up in case there are none as we come out.

The only thing is how long to stay in the aftershow - what time would he come on? What time do I book a taxi for?

Otherwise I cannot see how I can get back - live the other side of the river!

There is a bus that goes through the tunnel - 108. Just checked and found the timetable - may be of some use to people
