Prince played last night and it was amazing.
2 hour set with Maceo, Candy and the rest of the band. Prince came on and did some incredible guitar soloing. Well worth £25.

Operating Thetan has it right... Yes the set was 2 hours and Prince did play. Well worth £25. Even if he was on stage for about 30 mins... His comical returns to the stage during Down By The Riverside were possibly worth the ticket price alone. Although add in the Anotherloverholenyohead guitar theatrics, his dancing during 3121 etc, and I'd've paid more...
Was interesting to see Trading Standards officials outside IndigO2 before the doors opened tho... Complaints perhaps? We ain't from Hollywood, so you know it's all good

I don't know about all this contract stuff and what not bu the aftershow event as great last night. I was enjoying the stuff the DJ was playing before the main show started and wouldn't have had many complaints if that had continued.
As it was we got a great show. I loved all the jams the band played and as expected, the mrs loved it more than the main show. The band started at 1:20am, played through to 3 and Prince first made an appearance at 2. He came on, played guitar for about 1 min at the end of the jam and just wandered off with that knowing swagger that he does as if nothing special had just happened. Awesome! He came back on again soon after and was on stage for about 30 minutes in total. We got many superb guitar solos, a bit on the keyboards and plenty of dancing and clowning around. He twirled his jacket over his head and pretended to throw it into the crowd, made out that he was about to do a stage dived and then actually passed one of his guitars into the crowd. It was funny watching the technicians suddenly move like Linford Christie to rescue the guitar. Although the band was great, I sensed many becoming restless after a while but then we got Pass the Peas and the place was moving again. When they started jamming on 3121 there was a real buzz. I actually thought that Marva King, (at least I think it was her), was going to sing but when Prince took to the mic I had value for money there and then. Just over two weeks untill the next time.
