As far as I'm informed it'll be Michael B. and if that's true you're up for a treat wink

Yes its a shame that John is still not in the band, he is such a great drummer and such a nice guy as well. But I guess he decided that he had to move on neutral
I also heard that it would probably be Cora, have not seen her live yet but Iam sure that she will be excellent.
As for Michael B, well what can I say that hasnt already been said, he is amazing.
John B and Michael B (in my opinion) probably rank as the two greatest drummers Prince has ever had.

No.

I've seen John and heard his technique several times.

John Blackwell is a great, showy drummer, but I'm ready for someone new to be given an opportunity.

It won't be Michael B. Just checked his website, and he still has dates booked with Soul Asylum..

8.04.07 Outdoor Festival Sheboygan, WI
8.13.07 Wolf Den Uncasville, CT

I wish it was him though! Saw Blackwell on the ONA tour, Kirk J on the Jam Of The Year, and the only time I saw Michael B was the 1995 Gold Experience tour, and I had crap seats.

Cos I have tickets for the aftershows, it would be good to see him up close.

John Blackwell blows all the other drummers outa the park...including Sheila E. The guy is incredible and I for one am very disappointed he wont be there.....But I hear Cora is a beast on the kit as well....we shall see.

I was just re-watching the Superbowl performance and Cora did the damn thang in a monsoon and looked cute doing it. biggrin JB is my boy and Sheila is my heart (I have a set of sticks from both of them and have seen them many times) but Cora is NO lightweight. She didn't miss a beat in that rain. Because of this thread and others criticizing her skills, I made it a point to pay extra close attention to her performance and she was simply AMAZING. Neither JB or Sheila ever had to do what Cora did on that type of world stage. And as good as she was doing the rock thing in an arena, she truly shines when she's allowed to be improvisational in an intimate jazz set. She's a baaaaad girl! nod thumbs up!
