According to the NPGMC 'Concert' page the seats are 'General Admission'. Its first come, first served and you get to chose your seats. The seats you take for the 'Sound Check' will be your seats for the night.
I hope this helps. | |

Once soundcheck is over, is there time to go out again...or does the idea and time contraints mean that once you are in at 5pm, you are there until 11??

Cheers m8,
looks like it's gonna be a long day queing!

grrr, everyone's obsessed with queuing !!???
why not just relax in the knowledge that we're all in the front block and stop this queuing obsession. kinda reminds me of Wembley in 98 where everyone queued to get in DESPITE the fact that everyone had numbered seats !! Knowing Hammermith Odeon (its real name)well, you're actually better off a few rows back as the front row is way too close to the stage and you can't see everything !

Thats way too funny Gav.
I was at Wembley in '98 and I wondered why everyone was queing when we all had numbered tickets. The line snaked around the entire building.

Well add to that the fact that it is Will Call, so we all have to go inside, be split up according to our surname to collect our tickets anyway, so there really is no point queuing from dawn onwards is there? An besdies Gav you have me to save you a spot, after I have been to the Sanctuary and done a spot of shopping that is!!!

I'm not obsessed just curious! didn't want 2 get there @ 5 2 find a massive long que, and yes I agree that it is better 2 b a few rows back from the front, I was there last year 2 see French&Saunders and I spent the whole evening looking up.

and cheers nate17w !
I actually didn't know what "will-call" meant (duh brain... I know) Thats cool that it is done that way, it's gonna b a long night anyway without have to cue 4 ages pre 5pm!

Will everyone stop panicking!!
Everyone that got tickets from NPGMC is going to have a great view and for mosts of us it's going to be the closest we are going to see prince in a concert. So when you get to hammersmith instead of rushing and start queuing like everyone did in 98 even though the tickets were numbered chill out and go to the pub for a couple of drinks. If the worse comes to the worse you will be in row 15 which is not that bad when you consider the Apollo has a great view all round. Oh did I forget to say, for those that start queuing too early and get to the front they will find that the people behind them have better view as the stage is so high up and the front seats are so close.

Before 5pm the NPGMC staff will check your id and give you your laminate (very nice) and two wristbands for you & your guest. By 5pm - ish they'll let in people in line (NPGMC members + guests only). You'll seat yourselves n the first 5 rows or however many rows are needed to accomodate the members. I advise for folks to bring an old shirt or jacket to put on the seat to hold your place. In North America people were respectful of other people's places and I expect it'll be the same in Europe. You can split for dinner after the soundcheck and then return before showtime. See you there. In the UK they will probably steal the T shirts and your seat!!!...I'll take sandwiches. I just hope saddo UK fans show some respect and there is no pushing and shoving and queue jumping just so they can kiss Prince's ass and shout dumb comments.

I don't know if you live in the UK or not, but I think you should give UK fans a bit more respect, if you really think we are saddos, why don't you stay wherever you came from and let the UK fans enyoy this experience.

I know what you mean but what any UK fan can't have is someone making us all look bad only because a small minority of people are acting stupit in the shows. I think starbass should really apologise to all the respecfull UK fans(most of us) for what it said before as I think the large mayority of UK fan are respectful of one another and you shouldn't blame everyone by the stupid things some fans do in concerts. And for everyone to know the UK is not the only place where things like this happen, I think you will all agree that things like this happen wherever you go, so don't try to single out the UK. No, I disagree here ... the stage is not too high. I had front row seats for Chaka a few months ago and the stage height wasn't a problem. The problem with the view from the front row is the lights. I don't know if it affects everyone performing there, but I could only see her when she was further back on the stage - when she came closer she became a sillouette - I couldn't make out any of her features, all I could see was a shape and big fluffy hair with a blue outline (the colour of the light that was on her). Kinda like seeing an aura, I guess.

Wow was Chaka any good ?
didn't know she had done a show, have seen her a couple of times, did she do anything off "come 2 my house" ?
