ANGRY! I just wanna say that I hate all of websites that are necessary to obtain concert tickets, i.e. ticketmaster or eBay.
Let me explain: Aug. 31st is the birthday of my girlfriend, whose dream is to see Prince once in her life. I live in Paris, France, and although I'm not rich as my tailor, I thought that take her with me for a trip to London in order to see Love Symbol would be the greatest gift. This was in May, when first tickets had just been sold. But, as you know it, these assholes of ticketmaster soon announced that it was sold out! Disappointed, I took a look on eBay and I decided to buy two tickets for that night, at the cost of 110 GBP instead of nearly 62... Then I bought the train tickets, and I booked a hotel room. Several weeks after, new tickets released, as they said... (by the way, still to sold, which may be normal since 21 nights X 20,000 people = 420,000 tickets to sell, not so easy, even for a legend as Prince). Because I'm afraid not to receive the tickets bought on eBay, I decided to buy two new ones from ticketmaster. Which meant a lot of money for the total amount!! Now I see today on eBay that the item bought is no longer available on my account. Therefore, if the seller doesn't send me the tickets, I'll have no way to demand any reimbursement or to make any claim, because the payment was made more than 60 days ago. Which probably means I will lost 110GP just because of how ticketmaster and eBay (don't) work. Maybe the seller knew that when he sold me this item in May... This message doesn't necessary need any answer, it was just a way for me to express my anger, hoping that it will be understood by some of you who had some similar experience... And because I can't express it to my girlfriend, since the place I'll take her along with me on Aug. 31st is a surprise...

When buying on eBay you would have also been sent a confirmation email to the email address where you registered from - so the email containing all the item and transaction details will be there. Also, if you paid using Paypal then again an email comfirming receipt of the payment would have been sent to your email address. Also a record of the transaction will be in your Paypal account - which again contains all the info you need including sellers details and item info.
The chances are that unless the seller was/is dishonest you will get your tickets.

Indeed, I paid by Paypal, but I've just seen that any claim in case of an item hadn't been sent must be made in the 60 days following the payment, which is now too late...

But the seller hasn't got the tickets to send you yet - so there is currently no issue and no claim to make, even if you could. As you are travelling to the UK for the concert i would suggest that you contact the seller explaining the situation and ask them to send to you as soon as they receive them. Or you could ask them to send them to where you will be staying while in the UK...Or, if they live in London, to meet you to hand over the tickets?

Indeed, but it seems that that kind of situation hasn't been foreseen by eBay... Thanks for your advices. I'll be in London the day of the concert, but I'll surely send an email to the seller in the weeks before the event. Maybe I worry too much and that he will be absolutely honest, but you never know... Anyway, I've bought the two extra tickets from ticketmaster, but I'd like to resell them at face value if I receive all of them. The seller doesn't live in London, but if he's got the tix a few days before the concert, I'll follow your advice and ask him to send them where I'll be in London.

I'm sure you'll be ok and you'll get the tickets.
I believe that eBay and Paypal have the 60 day policy with regard to claims because under the rules of eBay concert tickets (and probably other items) must be sent to the buyer within 30 days on the listing ending. So therefore the 60 day time limit for a claim would be sufficient. In reality concert tickets are very often sold by Ticketmaster and other agents many months before the actual event - so therefore it would be impossible for a seller (who would buy from agents) to send the tickets within 30 days of the listing ending. This is unfortunate but a risk buyers take when buying tickets in this way. Having said all this, my friends and i who have got tickets from eBay have never had any problems with sellers.

I would like to say that I have two good tickets for Prince on 31st August. My hubby has decided he wants to go to football and has bought me tickets for 9th September instead. If you contact me and don't receive your tickets I will be happy to help - I was going to put them on ebay soon but I will hold on to them in case you need them - think you should stop worrying though everything will be fine.
