O2 Arena area hotel

hi guys, just a quickie! lastminutelondon.co.uk good place to look for hotels for the upcoming shows. Just booked a special there (unnamed special) for £50 per room per night including breakfast which turns out to be the Holiday Inn Express Royal Docks Hotel - easy access and a great rate. Check out this website for a good deal! biggrin
Don't go to the concerts in Jeans and t-shirts!! Dress to the Nines!

Not too bad, although the express in Greenwich is a bit closer.

Yup - just booked the Holiday Inn in Greenwich - can't be more than a five minute walk, at £69 for the convenience and breakfast is a bargain.

How easy is it to get across the Thames to Docklands by foot so late at night anyway - is it a case of walking through the tunnel? Not sure I fancy it so late, although I guess it'll be busy with people from the gig.

You can't go on foot through the blackwall tunnel but there are alternatives. From here : http://www.answers.com/to...all-tunnel

The tunnels do not allow pedestrians, but a bus route (London Buses route 108) operates through the tunnel. When the service is not running, the nearest pedestrian crossings of the river are the Woolwich foot tunnel adjacent to the Woolwich Ferry (see above - the ferry also carries pedestrians) and the Greenwich foot tunnel about two miles (3 km) to the west;

It's all in the thread just down from this one! http://www.prince.org/msg/12/234550

The trick is to go for the leisure saver rate.

I'll post it here again for everyone - but I found it from another thread.

They're a bit sneaky, as when you just look at the normal booking page and choose 'Best rate' it doesn't give you the best rate at all.

There's a link on the right for Leisure Breaks, and in there 'Discover...'

The link you want is :

http://www.ichotelsgroup....gd/home.do

Not quite £49 for the Greenwich one, but £69 is damn close, and includes breakfast.
