WARNING: only 6 tickets per billing address @ O2

I know many of you bought tickets in the upper tiers when those were the best available, and then bought lower tier when they became available at a later date.

But be warned - ticketmaster will only allow 6 tickets per billing address per concert. So if you bought 4 and then another 4, only 6 will be sent out - and they won't tell you there's a problem; you'll just receive 6 at random in the post a week before the show.

I just transferred one order over to a friend's credit card to avoid this - but you have to speak to customer service quickly, because once they've cancelled 2 of your tickets, that's it. You'll be stuck with 2 tickets in one section (probably the better seats, if you ordered those later) and 4 in the other. Or if they're really horrible, 3 and 3!

Boy, do I yearn for the days of the NPGMC. When sold out meant sold out, when those who got in first had the best tickets, when the seats closest to the stage for members were actually cheaper than the ones further back for non-members....

Hi mate. Its Matt. Are you sure its not 6 tickets per credit card? I had a problem with more than 6 on the same card for the same night and the guy at Ticketmaster transferred some to a different credit card. Their billing address is the same but he thought that was ok. They just neded to be on different cards.

Those were the days, pal.

Hey Matt, I spoke to 3 people at ticketmaster today, who spoke to 3 supervisors - and they all insisted that it had to be a different name on the card and a different billing address as well (which seems strange to me). But in general, they seem to have no idea what they're doing and no uniformity on this situation. The thing is, I don't see them taking responsibility if there is a problem when the tickets are sent out.

Dear Mathew,

Thank you for your email.

I have had a look at your booking and I can see that a member of our Customer Services department has resolved the matter.

If you require any more assistance then feel free to contact me and I will be happy to assist.

Was quite reassured with that, although you've made me think. WTF are these clowns doing?

Just spoke to someone in customer services and it seems you're right, Lee. 6 per billing address!!! So even having transferred some over to another credit card (which the agent did for me and told me all was fine) and then getting an email from Ticketmaster stating that the issue "has been resolved", the fact is, it isn't.
You could not make this up. pissed

By per concert, do you mean per night or for all of the Prince shows combined?
RIP sad

eek

I'm worried now.

We bought 4 x tickets for the upper tier opening night.

Later that evening the VIP tickets became available so we purchsed 3 of them as well.

All were on the same card with the same billing address.

I hope they don't delete one of the VIP tickets sad

I guess they won't even offer a refund!

I think i better contact them a.s.a.p. and tell them that if 1 x ticket its to be cancelled then it better be one of the upper tier tickets.

They will almost certainly cancel one of your VIP tickets. If you've got a friend's or family member's (who doesn't live with you) credit card you can use, you should get those changed over asap.

Contacted them today.

Basically they said i have broken the rules and 1 x ticket had to be cancelled.

I asked if i could swap the card/address details over and was told NO!

Luclily i managed to talk them into cancelling one of the upper tier tickets and not the VIP ones.

Basically i found them quite unhelpful and rude.

I don't know about you, but in such cases I always ask to talk to a supervisor, which works in much cases. unless it is cisco, they take about 1h15 to understand why you are calling and another 1h to put you down until you think you're nothing more than a piece of s**t biggrin

on another note. If it is a rule, they shouldn't allow their application to accept more than six tix on the same credit card anyhow. I think you should call back and keep pouncing them until they give in.

One silly question, did he/she also end with the question "is there anything else I can help you with today sir/madam ?" ... they are so funny when they say that and then again I have the utmost respect for the way they handle their calls all through the same and strict procudure. They helped me (after trying to put me off, i must say) to bring my seats down from level four to tier 1 wink

OMG. I bought loads of tickets for freinds for various dates as they were all at work so therefore unable to get in there when they went on sale and now, two weeks before the concerts it is made aware to me that I might not actually receive theses tickets. Fucking ridiculous. I'll be on the blower first thing in the morning.

So, I've been on the phone to Ticketmaster all day trying to sort out the ticket problem and it seems that they are cancelling tickets at their own discretion. I completely agree that they can cancel tickets for days that you have gone over the 6 tickets per CC per address but it seems that they are also cancelling tickets even when you have not gone over the quota. I have had 2 tickets cancelled on a number of days when I only bought 6. And what is more they have cancelled all the best seats. Had a number of Row A (upper tier) that have all been cancelled! It is an utter shambles. Ticketmaster have charged me for all the tickets I bought, had my money in their account for 2 months and then cancelled my tickets without informing me. A nice little earner for them interest wise over the past 2 months and now I am left with telling friends that I haven't got tickets for them and they will have to get them elsewhere and at high prices.Think you need to all get on to them ASAP to check whether you still have your tickets. Even the girl at Ticketmaster who I talked to thought is was disgusting that they can do this.Pissed off big time.

Getting worried now as there are 2 dates where we have ordered 6 tickets. If they have cancelled them then...well...we shall be really pissed off. Whats the point in putting the "no more than 6 tickets per billing address" if they dont mean it? mad
