IS THE APOLLO ANY GOOD?! Is the Apollo a good venue. I think i've got pretty crap ticketa, and i'm worried my seats will ruin it.
Also, what are the acoustics/ "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

I've been told by a friend of a friend that the Apollo is an excellent venue with superb acoustics.
I think his exact phrase was that 'you've never seen an Artist until you've seen them at the Apollo'.

Prince is there, I would happily see Prince in any two bit, working mens club. Who cares? Even if its a complete dump, something I doubt, at least Prince is there. And in only a few days time as well. Even if you're seats aren't great, its only a small venue, so they won't be bad.

To answer a few questions :
1) The acoustics are great, as an old cinema its a solid old place and I've never had bad sound there despite going to tons of gigs there (Including Morris Day in '88 and The Time in '90) 2) The views great from the majority of places. Its not brilliant from the back of the circle (the stalls is fine) but a million times better than anything you'd see from anywhere in Wembley Arena past blocks A&B ! 3) As with most London venues in built up areas, they have an 11.00pm curfew for artists, this is also to allow dispersing of the crowd by public transport. Those of us in London know how much of a pain in the arse it is to get home after the tubes stop ! 4) STOP PANICKING AND JUST ENJOY THE SHOWS, YOU HAVE A TICKET - FEEL GRATEFUL !!! Gav

The Apollo has been chosen by artists 4 years because of the acoustics.
Some big names have played there. Don't 4get thet it was at the Hammersmith Apollo the David Bowie famously killed off Ziggy Stardust! ----------
AND I GOTTA ALOTTA BUTTA 2 GO!
