7/7/7/ review-The Funny, the exciting and the crying moment

7/7/7 - The Funny, the bazaar, the exciting and the make me cry moment

My crying moment....Do you all remember your very first record/cd as a kid? Was that the most exciting time, or what? Did you
play it over and over again, singing along with your hairbrush? NO? Well... I did... and back in the day,
it was a 45, or [single] and for me it was called " I Wanna be your Lover" , I was 9 years old, living in New Ulm,
Minnesota. I actually remember my parents fighting about if they should allow me to keep it or not, but
they determined, I didn't know the full meaning of "lover" and therefore it was deemed "acceptable".
Hearing Prince play" I Wanna Be Your Lover" was my "make me cry moment" everything flooded, I was
back in my home state, hearing a song, I dreamed for many years, [as a child] to actually see performed
live!!!

My funny moment..... and this, [ladies] will crack you UP! My DH, who indeed, thinks Prince is a musical genius,
has a BUM knee, and we were in the third row floor, but he, my DH, was the only one sitting down, I swear!!So Prince says " All you sexy
people standing up, clap your hands and all you "non- sexy" people, well you can just stay seated!!!"[as Prince glances our way] I never saw my husband react so fast
to stand up in his whole life!!! [lol] I couldn't believe it! My DH, a writer, a consultant, an expert, in what he does, reacted so fervently
to Prince's slight toward him. He actually whispered to me, "I'm not going to let that man tell Me I'm not sexy!" He remained standing
for the rest of the concert! {LOL} The only other funny is how my husband always seems to think " Sheila E" is flirting with him.
God forbid she glances his way... Poor soul, crushes die hard!

The bazaar....So much, I don't know where to begin.....I will start with Minnesota is much hotter than where I live in Coastal Florida. We have
never seen 100 degree temps. Minnesotans' love Prince....from the "all we seem to talk about news" to the all weekend "Prince" radio
station to the mayor and the Governor deeming 7/7/7 "Prince Rodger Nelson" Day.[which actually is deserved] but it truly was surreal!
At one point, I saw two full city blocks, waiting in line for tickets for 1st Avenue from our suite! We took a pic, which I will try posting .
Later that day I saw Chelsea Rodgers being escorted from the hotel, and I thought, "wow, she is so tall"

The exciting.... Seeing how decked out the Macy's was....very cool! Walking around town and hearing different Prince songs being played!
Seeing " Get on the Boat" Live at Macy's [even better than the ALMA awards] Hearing Guitar, and knowing I have a very different original,
and hearing him play "7" . WOW! Oh My Goodness! OK, truthfully the whole concert, had me in awe! Seeing Prince play piano, the
acoustic set with Wendy, His guitar playing...amazing!!!!! I also think seeing him so playful, teasing, genuinely happy made it all worth while.

What I missed..... The aftershow... Renato's "The Dance" ....But would I take any of it back? Heck NO!!!!!
Wake up!......Wake up!

Great report Shelly! Seeing IWBYL preformed live was awesome!

Exiting moment- Prince did his stage dive right as us during the Macy's show.

Crying moment- was when What a Wonderful World was played so perfectly. My dad passed away 2 months ago and that was his favorite song. My fiance and I cried the entire time.

Bazaar moments- seeing all the drunk women after the show being carried around town.

Funny moment- seeing this young nerdy guy at the First ave night party, dressed in 70's type shorts and tube socks trying to get two tired ladies to dance with him while he his booty in their face.

BTW, please tell your husband Shelia E. was flirting with me ha! ha! same here would not change a thing about this weekend! Well, maybe getting tickets to the aftershow!
